According to a recent interview with Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins, Janet Jackson has asked for, and has received, a release from Island Def Jam Music Group. It is no secret that album sales have been in the gutter the past couple of go-rounds for our girl. Wherever she lands, we hope she can get things going again because there is no substitute for a rainy Saturday night with libations, and the Velvet Rope cd playing.
