Diddy comments about Ciroc and the initiative to curb driving under the influence:

Through his partnership with the ultra-premium vodka brand Ciroc, Diddy’s releasing a new campaign discouraging people who’ve partied a bit too hard from getting behind the wheel. “When I started this relationship with Ciroc, I wanted to do something groundbreaking in the category of social responsibility,” he tells OK!. “Instead of doing a regular PSA saying, ‘Hi, I’m Sean Combs and I’m here to talk to you for Ciroc,’ I actually shot a scene from a movie, what happens when the music stops and two young ladies leave early because they’re feeling a little tired.” I stop them from driving at the door and have my driver take them home, and I ask them what time they’re coming back tomorrow because we’re having a pool party,” he reveals. “It’s kind of funny and gets to the point without being overly preachy.”

We can always count on this cat to be a trailblazer in social awareness. It’s time we returned the favor and helped him out by not only teaching him how to purchase condoms, but how to actually use them from time to time.

The legendary group Four Tops lost an original member today:

Four Tops lead singer Levi Stubbs, who possessed one of the most dynamic and emotive voices of all the Motown singers, died Friday at 72. He had been ill recently and died in his sleep at the Detroit house he shared with his wife, said Dana Meah, the wife of a grandson. The Wayne County medical examiner’s office also confirmed the death. With Stubbs in the lead, the Four Tops sold millions of records, including such hits as “Baby I Need Your Loving,” “Reach Out (I’ll Be There)” and “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch).” The group performed for more than four decades without a change in personnel. Stubbs’ death leaves one surviving member of the original group: Abdul “Duke” Fakir. Stubbs “fits right up there with all the icons of Motown,” said Audley Smith, chief operating officer of the Motown Historical Museum. “His voice was as unique as Marvin’s or as Smokey’s or as Stevie’s.”

A report by Livesteez tells how this 17 year old kid is going down hard:

Donyea Phillips, a 17-year-old runaway was sentenced to 25-50 years in prsion for shooting and wounding two Philadelphia drug officers. Phillips, who was homeless at the time, was squatting with a cousin in the East Frankford rooming house when the officers served a search warrant at the house a year ago. Phillips, a suspected crack dealer who pleaded guilty in July to two counts of attempted murder and related charges, apologized to Officers Christopher Reed and Stephen Holts. Phillips insisted to Common Pleas Court Judge Glenn B. Bronson that he did not know police were trying to come through the door when he blindly fired through a window Nov. 13.”I was afraid for my life,” Phillips told Bronson, adding, “All I’m just asking is not to lock me up and throw away the key, because I’m changed.” The prison term drew gasps from some of the dozen relatives in court to support Phillips because it’s above the 5- to 10-year minimum recommended under state sentencing guidelines. However, it was also less than the 32-1/2 to 65 years requested by the prosecuting attorney. “I think this sentence was clearly excessive,” said defense attorney James A. Lammendola. He said he would file a motion asking the judge to reconsider the sentence. Explaining his sentence, the judge credited Phillips with accepting responsibility by pleading guilty and acknowledged his grim upbringing: “You had a horribly deprived childhood, there’s no doubt about that,” Bronson said.

If this doesn’t read a failed support system for a child, then we don’t know what does. This will become more and more prevalent if there isn’t better representation for the Black youth. SMH

What on earth is going on here?

“Stevie Wonder has denied a story in the New York Post Thursday claiming he lost his home in the Porter Ranch area north of Los Angeles in one of the wildfires raging throughout California. Page Six quoted a “Left Coast source” who said: “Everything was destroyed – all of Stevie’s memorabilia, photos, musical instruments, history, clothing, furniture, everything. It’s all gone. It was his main residence and he is utterly devastated. Stevie’s had to put his tour and appearances on hold while he deals with this.” Later Thursday, Wonder, 58, released a statement shooting down the report. “I’m grateful to say that my house was not burned down in the fire,” he said. “I extend my sympathies to anyone who may have been touched by this horrendous event.”

Thanks for the comment, Stevie, but go sit your blind @ss down and play the piano or something. We need your assistant with the 20/20 vision to tell us what the hell is going on here.

Livesteez has reported that a woman beheaded her stalker and carried his head around through town:

Police arrested the woman late Thursday after receiving calls from frightened witnesses who reported a blood-soaked woman holding a severed head was walking through the village, said police officer Ram Bharose, reports CNN.com. The woman, 35, told police she had gone to a nearby forest to cut grass for fodder for her cattle when a man attacked her from behind. “In a bid to save her dignity she beheaded him with a sickle,” Bharose said, adding that the woman had bite marks on her neck and cheek.

Not only did the poor woman have a stalker but he was a biter. SMH. We bet he didn’t know that that Indian lady graduated with Ms. Magenta Lipstick up there.

NY Mag.com is saying Yeezy ganked a small piece from them for his blog:

Now, Kanye’s is still indisputably the world’s greatest blog — on the Internet or elsewhere — but this simply will not stand. We can only hope that this post was not also plagiarized from somewhere.

They are putting him on blast for the publicity rather than trying to contact him and resolve it. That is out of pocket. What do you Bossipers think??
