Some Somalians have the ‘pirate game’ on lock. They have received 150 million in stacks as ransom payments for ships they have ganked. What is ol’ boy going to do with that stick in that little hooptie fishing boat?

More than $150 million have been paid to pirates around the Horn of Africa over the past 12 months, Kenya’s foreign minister said Friday.

The supertanker Sirius Star is the biggest vessel seized by pirates this year.

The money is encouraging them to continue and become more brazen in their attacks, Foreign Minister Moses Wetangula told a news conference in the Kenyan capital.

“That is why they are becoming more and more audacious in their activities,” Wetangula said. Continue »

Remy is trying to fight her conviction for busting shots into her close friend:

Attorneys for Remy Ma filed a motion in a Manhattan Court Room this week appealing the verdict handed down against the rapper in March of this year. In court documents, the lawyers argue that errors committed by the judge presiding over the 15 day trial may have lead to an inaccurate verdict. At issue specifically, were the judge’s instructions regarding the testimony of Remy’s victim, Makeda Smith-Barnes, who was shot by the rapper outside a New York City nightclub during an argument over $3000.  Fisher was barred by the court from arguing that the shooting in fact occurred during a struggle for the .45 caliber automatic handgun which, allegedly resulted in Smith-Barnes being shot in the abdomen at close range. In addition, Remy’s lawyers argue that by including a previous unrelated violent incident at the Player’s Club in the indictment of Remy Ma, Assistant District Attorney Michael McIntosh effectively managed to taint the jury, predisposing them to issue a guilty verdict. Remy, born Remy Smith, is currently serving an eight year prison term at the Bedford Hills Correctional facility, a maximum security prison just north of New York City. The rapper was convicted of first degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon and attempted coercion. She will be eligible for parole in September 2014.

Sounds like she is paying the lawyers to find reasons to release her…and saying the judge messed up is a crock of sh*t.

Britney Spears has a new album coming out and is drumming up some press by releasing a video documentary on MTV:

In the special, Spears likens her life to the Bill Murray film “Groundhog Day,” in which every day is the same. “It’s like ‘Groundhog Day’ every day,” she says. “It’s really boring. Normal is really different for everybody. In my situation, I try to make it as normal as possible for me. It could be a lot worse.” “I used to be a cool chick,” she says. “But I feel like the paparazzi has taken that away from me — like, the way I used to live my life. I used to be a cool chick but I’m not anymore.” “I had let people into my life that were just bad people,” she said, adding later, “You’re so busy you don’t see what’s going on. You don’t have time to stop and think. … It’s important to have good people around you.”

She also talks a lot about the demise of her marriage to Kevin Federline. “When it ended I felt so alone,” she explains. “I didn’t really wanna think about the reality of it. I never faced it. I just ran. He started to do an album for himself and he started to do things for himself, and I just never saw him anymore.”

“My trust has really been battered,” she says. “Sometimes it can get kinda lonely. I had totally lost my way. I lost focus. I lost myself. I let certain people into my life that were just bad people … because I was lonely. I really paid the consequences for that. Big time.”

She didn’t know that suspect K-Fraud was rubbing his trailer park hands together thinking about her stacks and his own fame? That shady K-Fraud left her with 2 kids, crazy, and no career. SMH.

Thanks to Luda, some families in Atlanta will have something to be thankful for:

Ludacris will bring holiday cheer to 500 Atlanta families this Thanksgiving, via his non-profit organization, The Ludacris Foundation.

This weekend (November 22 & 23rd), Luda and the foundation’s LudaCares program will distribute Thanksgiving turkeys and pies to underprivileged residents of metro Atlanta.

“This is the foundation’s sixth year giving away turkeys and distributing food boxes for Thanksgiving,” Ludacris revealed. “I especially look forward to this time of year because it allows me directly touch the people we are trying to help.”

On the 22nd the foundation will distribute food items to areas on the Southside of Atlanta. On the 23rd, Ludacris will be on the North side of Atlanta, distributing more food to local residents in need of a hand this holiday.

The events are private, for recipient families who have been pre-selected by community organizations who have partnered with the Ludacris Foundation.

We never get tired of hearing about black folks who have made it turning around and giving a helping hand. And Luda is definitely one of the leaders of the pack when it comes to giving back to the black community. You go, boy.

Bossip recently chatted with Akon and when he’s not practicing his dry humping skills, he’s the driving force of “Team Michael”.

That guy’s a genius, man. That’s probably the highlight of my career. He’s the most humble cool dude. When you stop and think about all of the controversies and articles on him, they don’t even reflect the person that I saw. I always say if people got the chance to actually meet the man behind all of the controversy, they would be embarrassed to even have that thought. He’s totally different from the normal perception that you see.

We feel you, Akon. But there’s nothing normal about a nightly routine of taking your nose off and placing it in a jewel-studded Peter Pan case.
