Akon: I Didn't Do Anything Wrong, I Was a Scapegoat

Akon doesn't want to do anything else to damage his reputation and is currently defending himself in the media. During a recent interview, he denied doing anything wrong and said he was a scapegoat in the situation.

The only thing wrong I see is an old man like Akon claiming to be in his early 20's .

Akon is an Old Man

Akon has been refusing to answer questions about his age and some sources are claiming he is 35 years-old man. Akon and some media outlets were reporting he was only 25. Sources claim a magazine looked up prison records from when Akon was in jail and found out he was a lot older. Last year, Akon refused to answer questions about his age during a Vibe Magazine interview :

In the game, once people know exactly how old you are the count down begins on how long you going to be here. I promise you if people didn’t know how old Janet was, she’d be selling records ‘til the day. She looks like she’s 25, but people think, “Man, that girl’s 40 years old still trying to sing and dance.”

Akon doesn't even look 35, he looks more like 38 or 40. SMH at Akon rolling around with a "suspect" age.

"First, and most important to me, I want to sincerely apologize for the embarrassment and any pain I've caused to the young woman who joined me on-stage, her family and the Trinidad community for the events at my concert in Port of Spain on April 12th. It was never my intention to embarrass or take advantage of my fans in any way, especially those under the age of 18. That is why we tried to make sure that the club did not admit anyone under 18 in the audience. Somehow, that standard was not met.

Again, I apologize to those concerned and to all my fans and I pledge to all that we will strive to make sure this type of incident does not happen again."

Verizon Dumps Akon Over 'Simulated Rape' with 15 Year-Old

Verizon canceled their Akon sponsorship after a video showed him aggressively dancing with her at a concert. Mainstream media outlets such as Fox News are now calling it a "simulated rape". Because Akon opens for Gwen Stefani's Verizon sponsored tour, they dumped sponsorship of her tour as well.

Akon should talk to R. Kelly, age is a little more than a number and can get you locked up. This has much to do about nothing, has anyone at Fox News ever hit a reggae spot. They are not quite dancing like Billy Ray Cyrus. SMH.

Prime Minister Calls for Akon Investigation

The Prime Minister of Trinidad has called for an investigation into the "dirty dancing" controversy involving Akon and a 14-year-old girl. The investigators are starting with the club who some blame for allowing the young girl to party. Deena Alleyne, whose father is a pastor recently told the local press:

"This whole hip hop thing is a guise and I don't want any part of it, I don't want to be any part of it""I thought it was going to be normal," Alleyne said. "I got carried away, I started to dance as well but I never thought it was going to be like that. I was shocked, my head was hitting the floor.

You know you can't blow up to R.Kelly status in the R&B game until you have had rough and simulated sex with a young girl. We posted the Akon "Jungle Freak" video a couple of times but Akon's people are doing their job, they keep on finding ways to remove the video from Youtube. Click here to watch it before they take it down again. Now, the father of the 14-year-old girl has some words. Pastor Dave Alleyne says Akon took advantage of his daughter:

"She likes dancing and won a competition," Alleyne said, adding that she became a victim in a situation where she had no control.

Akon may want to make nice after throwing the 14-year old around like a lifeless ragdoll while he pumped her. "Paster Alleyne" probably needs a new suit and tie.

The folks from Vibe Magazine sent their new cover in. The issue hits stands March 20. Now that Akon is going "mainstream" with sick record sales, he is now denying that he ever supported polygamy.

"There was a big rumour about me having many wives. It started off as a joke and it got serious. And then I was just running with it to see how far it'd go.
