Nas: House of Blues is Racist, 'Treated Us Like Terrorists'

According to Nas, The House of Blues in San Diego is racist and treated his family and crew "like terrorists" when he arrived for a performance. Nas told the local media:

"There is no other side of the story. We were treated like terrorist. We had a whole bunch of security guys rush outside to me and my wife like we were terrorists. Its not like I came with 50 guys or nothing. It was just me, my wife, my DJ and my staff for the 'Hip-Hop Is Dead" tour and they came at us like we was Osama Bin Laden or somebody," Nas lamented on air...."Anybody that tolerates [racism] is a sucker in my book," Nas concluded. "All of that gotta stop."

The rap legend has spoken, with stretched comparisons and all.

She pissed-off organizers of last weekend's White Party in Palm Springs, who claim that she showed up nearly two hours late, and then only performed two songs. One event producer went so far as to suggest that the IRS be called -- "Kelis demanded her $25,000 payment up front, in cash. But then she didn't perform. Someone needs to alert the IRS – because we know she won't." Event organizer Phil Lobel said that, "Kelis acted like a diva." For her part, Kelis' rep Tracy Nguyen told the NY Post: "There were many missteps behind the scenes which created a less than suitable environment for any artist to perform. Because of her love for her fans, Kelis made the decision to take the stage, against any advice not to do so."

Kelis was arrested Friday in Miami Beach for yelling racial slurs at undercover cops posing as prostitutes. She was charged with two misdemeanors: disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

According to the report, Kelis' "actions caused people walking by to stop and form a crowd. The sidewalk was blocked by the disturbance, causing people to walk in the street and causing traffic to stop."
