Russell Simmons is using his little blog to attack Bossip and we want everyone to know BDR is a straight up SELLOUT and in the pockets of the diamond industry that got rich and continues to get rich exploiting the poor people of Africa. BDR is not only in bed with the diamond industry and was attacked by the director of the movie Blood Diamonds for being in the pocket of the diamond industry, BDR is also exploiting the poor with his Visa Debit Cards that charge excessive fees on the poor. What BDR essentially does is profit from poor people who can’t get credit and does this in a manner that is in line with a straight up corporate THUG and someone who lacks love for our community.
BDR’s politics can be explained by the corporate interests he represents that only see the Black community as a tool to get rich and his compromised politics can further be explained with his intoxication with Blonde women only. By going around in the media flossing these Beckys around, he is not promoting diversity but an obvious perpetuation of the White Superiority and Black Inferiority dynamic. With his intoxication with white girls and him flossing these tramps around for the world to see, he is telling the young Black girls around the world they are not good enough, they are too dark, too Africa, too strong, for his weak punk-a*s.
Russell Simmons is a straight up SELLOUT and it’s not going to be a secret anymore. From Watts to Wallstreet, we got troops going out who are willing to do battle with Russell Simmons and his white backers who seek to destroy and exploit the Black community under the “guise” of charity.
The WSJ has an interesting piece about a Colorado couple who stepped up to the plate and put up $12 million of their personal money to finance the sleeper hit ‘Precious.’ What BOSSIP wants to know, is why can’t more Black millionaires step up, take some risks, and bring our diverse experiences to the screen? Michael Vick had a custom built eight bedroom house in Georgia that’s up for grabs:
On a peaceful cul-de-sac in Atlanta‘s prosperous northern suburbs, a behemoth of a home sits empty and lifeless at 2927 Darlington Run. Four towering columns greet those who enter through a double set of thick, wooden doors…. Continue »

That no-good Magic Johnson who turned his back on Obama in favor of that shady Hillary and stacks recently had this to say to the Wallstreet Journal:
WSJ: Does the fact that we have a black president-elect mean it will be any easier for black entrepreneurs to borrow money for investment in urban areas?
Mr. Johnson: I don’t think it will be easier. What will happen is that people will look more at us. The world’s eyes have been opened to the idea that minorities can play at any level, including the highest level. It remains to be seen if banks and financial institutions will invest more with minorities. But you need a solid plan and everything that everybody else has. You can’t come in if you don’t come in right. You have to show a return on investment, how they’ll make money from investing in you. Nothing changes there. African-Americans may be more fashionable now – that’s how trends start. You win a championship, and people want to copy your strategy. We’re going to be in now. But it won’t be any easier, no

Diddy is looking to change the perception of black males:
With the launch of his newest men’s fragrance on the horizon, Sean “Diddy” Combs is utilizing president-elect Barack Obama to promote the scent, in an effort to redefine the perception of African Americans.
The Wall Street Journal reports the rap mogul will appear in a black-and-white ad for the new I am King fragrance. The ad will be featured in magazines and on billboards across the country in December.
Dressed as a black James Bond, Combs wears a white dinner jacket as he is seen on jet skis, in casinos and aboard a yacht on the French Riviera.
Although the ads could come across with being out of touch with the current economy, Combs maintains that the promotion is reflective of what he labeled as an “affordable indulgence.”
“Everything on the market isn’t going to be attached to the bad economy,” he said. With Obama’s historic victory over Republican rival John McCain, Combs believes the time is now for marketers to shift their perception of the urban black male from the stereotypical person with lots of “bling,” to one of successful black men such as himself and Obama.
It makes perfect sense for Diddy to use Obama’s status as opposed to his own. Hell, he has only spent 15 years in the spotlight doing everything possible to perpetuate the same stereotype he is trying to change. SMH

The government is going to drop $700 billion in stacks to save corporations and Wallstreet. With the dumb Iraq war, that’s over 1 trillion.
Why can’t the government push $200 billion towards better schools, parental education support, and technology in the hood? Why are these greedy corporate mofo’s getting 700 billion when all the hood gets is some food stamps and an ebt card?

What happened to hiring a few professional security guards and saving your stacks?

Excerpts from Bill Cosby’s new book:
On criticism:
“Certain people tell us that we are picking on the poor. Many of those who accuse us are scholars and intellectuals, upset that we are not blaming everything on white people as they do. Well, only blaming the system keeps certain black people in the limelight but it also keeps the black poor wallowing in victimhood.”
On raising children:
“All black parents can do right by their children, and all black children can succeed. There is no reason why not.”
“Use standard English when you have your kids together, not Black English. They’ll hear enough of that in the streets…Watch the movie My Fair Lady. All cultures discriminate against people who have not mastered the standard language, and when race is involved, it is all that much harder for a nonstandard speaker to feel competent or even at home in the culture.”
On the media:
“Some of the most negative images of African Americans on TV and in the movies seem to be the most popular among young people—black and white. With both good and bad media out there, you have to help select media for kids that will support their successes and suppress their urge to give up or drop out.”
On black men:
“Gangsta rap makes our young people tough, but not so tough they can walk through prison walls. It can jazz them about sex, but it can’t begin to make them a good father. No matter how often, or how publicly they grab their crotches, crotch-grabbing isn’t even going to get them a bus ride downtown.”
