According to Diddy, Cassie is new and improved:

“Although pop star Cassie had a huge hit in 2006 with her single ‘Me and You’, critics and fans alike were appalled by her severe vocal challenges during a string of promotional performances on TV. Her label head, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, tells Billboard that Cassie has since stepped up her game and has songs on her sophomore album that will impress the haters.

Explaining Cassie’s poor performances during the promotion of her self-titled debut album, Diddy says: ‘I just don’t think she was ready. I think that we threw her into the spotlight without the artist development — that goes on with a lot of new artists. We pulled out, we took our time, we developed her for like, a year-and-a-half. People are just going to see her there and be like, ‘Wow, she’s really cocooned into a butterfly.’”

We’ll just have to wait and see on that one. So far, it looks like the f**kin for tracks approach is really working out for ole girl.

Cassie recently explained she is still in the game because of talent, not fu*kin for tracks:

No I haven’t ever dated Diddy. I’m his artist, and we are actually friends. We really are friends. I am fortunate to have that connection with him, we just happened to have really hit it off as friends, but that’s it. It doesn’t bother me people think that or say that we are dating as people are going to say it regardless if I am bothered or not right? [laughs] These are my friends. I’m not going to stop hanging around someone or stop being friends with someone because people are making up things you know? It used to bother me a lot more but now I am like “whatever.”

I think people definitely perceive me as being with these men [Diddy, Ryan Leslie] because they don’t understand how I could ever get to where I am without sleeping with them; do you know what I mean? I have never put myself out there in any situation that would make me seem slutty [laughs] but I guess that’s what people think of me.

We don’t believe you, you need more people.

Puffy Combs will not face criminal charges at all now after smacking up Steven Acevedo and giving him a bloody nose a few weeks ago in NYC:

The accuser stopped cooperating with law enforcement and also gave different versions of the incident, the Manhattan district attorney’s office said, and prosecutors weren’t able to prove criminal charges beyond a reasonable doubt. The 31-year-old accuser told police he and Combs had been arguing over a woman early in the morning of Oct. 13 before the rap mogul punched him in the face. Combs’ attorney, Benjamin Brafman, called the incident a disagreement between acquaintances who have known each other for 12 years.

“Both Mr. Combs and I are pleased that the DA’s office and the police department conducted a very thorough investigation and came to this conclusion,” Brafman said.

Dude couldn’t get his story straight, but we all know what happened. We know that Steven Acevedo fellow won’t be trying to play grab ass with Cassie in the club anymore.  His ass will end up with more than a bloody nose next time.

Puffy wants to set the record straight about him getting into altercations over Cassie broads:

“It was something that was just totally overblown … I don’t fight over girls! I got into an argument, I am a human being. I am going to get into an argument. I am making no denial about that, but I did not punch anybody. I’m staying focused on being a role model and you know, being somebody that all my grandmas and aunties out there can be proud of and tell their kids to look up to you, know what I’m saying. I mean it is apart of celebrity … but it just wasn’t true.”

In other Diddy news, he just signed a deal with Ciroc Vodka that could be worth $100 million eventually.

Diddy allegedly smacked someone up at a club in NYC last night over a woman:

His Diddyness was holding court with pals and bodyguards at Kiosk, on Spring Street, at around 3:30 a.m. when he got into an argument with an acquaintance, Steven Acevedo, over a woman, the sources told The Post’s Larry Celona. Acevedo told cops that the two stepped away from each other, but resumed exchanging heated insults minutes later and that an irate Combs then threw a classic syncopated one-two combo – hitting him in the face twice while screaming, “I’ll kill you, punk!”

Acevedo was left with a bloody nose and a fat lip, the sources said, and as he tried to get back at Combs, a bodyguard appeared to reach under his waist – as if for a gun. The beaten hip-hop scenester said he then went home, called 911 and filed a report. But later, reached at home, he declined to comment.

The “victim” may have been trying to pop at Cassie, we hear he is back on that.

Biggie must be rolling over in his grave. Diddy hosted ‘Badboy Upfront” today in NYC. Your not so “Bad” Boy regulars were all there. Is it just us or is Badboy looking washed up these days.

Who does this negro Ryan Leslie think he is? He walks around like he broke Marvin Gaye’s or Janet Jackson’s career. Oh boy, can’t wait for the new Cassie album to drop. SMH.

In other Diddy news, his lil side girl Cassie was at MTV studios in New York yesterday.

A lot of stuff just don’t look right here, starting with the jeans, belt, and hat. Cassie usually knows how to look fly. Very pretty girl though. Not mad at Diddy for soaking up this pretty girl’s panties, I think Kim is very familiar with how Diddy gets down.

Diddy tells Essence magazine in the December issue:

“I know she deserves to get married,” Diddy, 37, tells Essence magazine in its December issue, “but I’m just not ready.”

Yeah, No smart mogul is ready to get married when they got a couple of women in the background.

Kim Porter says:

But she says of Diddy’s connection to Lopez, “That relationship wasn’t real. The world just saw the bright lights and the camera. But I knew what was really going on. He was still in love with me.”

Kim is sounding pretty naive and dumb right here. Diddy threw you to the curb, he was with the girl he loved the most, Jennifer Lopez! When did he start mentioning you in songs? It’s cheaper to keep you!

Kim goes on to say:

But as long as he makes us feel like we’re a family, I’m fine.” And, she says, “There’ll be one day when he won’t be working so hard, (and) then we have a lifetime. … I’m not a needy person. If I were, I’d probably be somewhere pulling out my hair right now.”
