Here is “Iron” Mike Tyson at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend. A documentary on his life is featured at the festival:

“I lived a wild and extreme life,” the former heavyweight champion

told reporters Saturday. “I used drugs. I had altercations with dangerous people. I slept with guys’ wives that wanted to kill me. I’m just happy to be here, you know. It’s just a miracle.” Continue »

Foxy Brown BDD

Foxy’s long awaited album “Brooklyn’s Don Diva” has been released. Here’s what ole Inga had to say about it:

“‘Unfortunately, during my incarceration, this CD was compiled without my approval. I heard this CD in its entirety, for the first time, just says ago and was devastated.

In another phase of my life and career, I would have dealt with this situation with litigation, but for the benefit of my fans and in the wake of the profound spiritual cleansing I recently underwent in prison, I made the decision to settle our creative differences amicably.’

Foxy is so confident she can re-up and bring the album back to the level of her previous releases, she promised to ‘deliver the biggest street album in female rap history.’”

Wow, sounds like someone needs a reality check, and a little more prayer. A word of advice: It’s time to start researching those retirement options – pronto.

remyma.papoose.rikersweddingcalledoff

Remy Ma and Papoose’s nuptials were called off yesterday thanks to Pap and his hair brain schemes:

“A wedding was scheduled today and a visitor to that wedding service was found to be in possession of jail contraband so the wedding was canceled. The key that was found today easily opened handcuffs that we and other law enforcement officials use. Now the 29-year-old Brooklyn-born Papoose – real name Shamele Mackie – won’t be able to see his fiancée until November.

The visitor was sanctioned by not being able to visit Rikers Island again for six months. He was asked to leave. Papoose was not charged after he voluntarily surrendered the key to authorities. He was quickly ushered out of the jail and never got to enter the prison island’s Rose M. Singer chapel in which the two were set to say their “I do’s.”

How stupid is he to think that that would actually work? What a dumbass…

*Update: Remy Ma has been sentenced to 8 years in prison:

“Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years in prison today by a Manhattan Supreme Court judge for shooting her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph after the two argued over money after leaving a party.”

Now let’s see how eager Papoose will be to reschedule that wedding. SMH.

Foxy in Jail

Foxy Brown is walking through a revolving door that leads right back to Rikers:

“Just two weeks after being freed from Rikers Island after an eight month stint in prison, Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown may have run afoul of the law again. A judge issued a bench warrant for rapper Foxy Brown, after she failed to appear in Brooklyn Criminal Court earlier today. Brown, who was released from prison on April 18, was due in court today, to face assault and weapons charges , stemming from an altercation with her Brooklyn neighbor.”

This comes as no shock. This b*tch is crazy, pure and simple. SMH.

An Inga Update:

“A bench warrant for the arrest of Foxy Brown was rescinded after a court mix-up called for the arrest of the rapper who was recently released from New York’s Rikers Island.”

Whatevah. The b*tch is still crazy.

Wesley Snipes & Wife

It appears that Wesley’s fate is spared – for now:

“Wesley Snipes’ legal team is appealing the actor’s federal tax conviction and his three-year prison sentence. The Blade star was ordered to serve jail time last month after Florida Judge William Terrell Hodges convicted Snipes of failing to file his taxes for five years. But his attorneys are set to challenge the ruling and they filed notice in the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday. Meanwhile, Snipes will remain free until he’s ordered to surrender by the federal Bureau of Prisons.”

He’s got his lawyers working overtime to keep him out of the slammer. We wish his tax-evading ass good luck with that. SMH.

Djimon Strikes Back

Djimon Hounsou 1

Kimora’s boo Djimon recently spoke at a Senate hearing to fight for runaway and homeless youth – something he is all too familiar with.

“In the early 1980s, when he was in his teens, the African-born future model and actor was a homeless youth in Paris. ‘I lived on the streets for some time – fighting for survival, searching out nothing more than my daily necessities for a meager existence. In the ‘wintertime, when I didn’t have enough warm clothes to sustain the harsh weather outside, I was sent to a juvenile prison to spend the night. It was three or four years before I was discovered on the street by a fashion designer [Thierry Mugler] and my life started to turn around, eventually.’

‘It’s not something I think about every day, thank God. But it’s something that oftentimes hits me again,’ he said, adding, ‘It’s good to think about it sometimes, to remember where you came from.’”

With humble beginnings such as those, it’s a wonder that he can even stomach Kimora’s lavish over-the-top-ness. It’s nice to see him giving back though. We’ve said it before, but that Kimora is one lucky lady.

Psycho Dad

There is some serious insanity going on in Austria:

“Three children freed from a cellar in which their mother had been imprisoned and raped by her own father for 24 years had never seen daylight, police have confirmed. Police spokesman Franz Polzer [said] that 73-year-old Josef Fritzl admitted holding his daughter, Elisabeth Fritzl, 42, hostage in the windowless cell and fathering seven children by her. The main question reverberating from the small Austrian town: How could a man keep his daughter locked in his basement for 24 years, where she gave birth to seven of his children while her mother and three of those children lived upstairs without an inkling of the horrors in the cellar?”

Are we to believe that his wife didn’t know what was going on in the basement for all those years? This is some truly disturbing ish. Damn, this guy looks hella devlish too.

sean.bell.family

The cops who shot and killed Sean Bell got off:

The three cops who killed Sean Bell on his wedding day in a 50-bullet barrage were cleared of all charges Friday – sparking tears inside the courtroom and anger on the streets outside. “The defendants are not guilty of all charges,” Queens Supreme Court Justice Arthur Cooperman declared. “The burden was on the people to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Each defendant was assumed to be innocent.” Cooperman said justification was used as a defense, he had to consider the “mindset of the defendants, not the victims. What the victims did, was more important to resolve the issues at hand than what was in their minds.” Continue »

Jam Master Jay

At least one man is going down behind Jam Master Jay’s murder:

“One of the main suspects in the murder of Run-DMC group member Jam Master Jay was sentenced to 17-years in prison yesterday (April 22) for a series of robberies. Ronald ‘Tinard’ Washington [the suspect], a longtime friend of Jam Master Jay, allegedly confessed to being one of the two gunman who came into Jay’s 24/7 Recording Studio in Hollis, Queens, on October 30, 2002 and shot the pioneering DJ to death.

While he allegedly admitted to his role, the second gunman who allegedly pulled the trigger remains at large.”

It’s truly sick and disgusting how cops and official investigators drag their damned feet when it comes to black men getting gunned down. SMH.

Wesley Snipes 424

Blade’s IRS scandal is about to come to a head. Wesley’s got his back up against the wall, so he’s asked some celebs to send letters to the judge begging for his mercy:

“Judge Greg Mathis, who says: ‘Unfortunately, it was his honest nature that forced him into these legalities’ and ‘I can say from my personal experience as a Judge that people are always trying to manipulate and defraud people with a high profile status.’

Denzel Washington says that Wes is like ‘a tree — a mighty oak.’”

Umm, we doubt resembling a tree is going to help Wesley out of this mess. Blade faces three years in prison and sentencing is set for tomorrow, time to face the music. SMH.

Foxy Brown & Judith Marchand

Foxy Brown was released from jail today:

“As soon as she was released from prison, she was greeted by her mother Judith Marchand and lawyer New York City Councilman Charles Barron, as well as hundreds of reporters and fans, some with posters and pink balloons, others with ‘Free Foxy Brown’ T-shirts. Brown wore a leather jacket, jeans, a black shirt, designer pumps and a stylish Fendi designer doo rag over her hair.

Brown’s entourage arrived in a fleet of luxury vehicles that included three Rolls Royce’s, a number of SUV’s and a Maybach, that was filled with clothes. Her family, friends, managers and a hair stylist and makeup artist were all part of the group of people that greeted Brown.”

Wow. Sounds like Inga had quite a welcoming party. LMAO at her hair and make up stylist being front and center at the gates (time to touch-up those roots!!!). Congrats to Foxy for getting out of jail. They might as well save all the party favors, posters and what-not. It’s only a matter of time before she lands her crazy ass back up at Rikers again.

Akon the Illusionist

Akon

Akon got caught lying to boost his “street cred”:

“In past interviews, the singer has made it clear that he headed ‘a notorious car theft operation’ that specialized in boosting Porsches, Lamborghinis, and Mercedes, owned four chop shops catering to ‘celebrities and drug dealers,’ and had frequent run-ins with the police.

TSG, however, reports the real story behind his allegedly crimes and prison story. In September 1998, Akon was charged with handgun possession and receiving stolen property. He posted $3,500 bond and was free.”

Basically Akon was caught driving a stolen vehicle, but wasn’t charged with grand theft auto. A Federal Agent lays it out:

“‘Ah, this is bullsh**,’ he [said]. ‘This guy is so phony. He’s an arrogant SOB… I don’t think he had any role besides [wanting] to drive a high-dollar vehicle. And I say this because we didn’t link him to any other cars.’”

This simple-ass individual lied about jail time and thought he wasn’t going to be found out? These things always come to the surface eventually.

Blade and His IRS Issues Continue

WesleyVigil1

It’s time for Wesley Snipes to pay up:

Prosecutors are recommending a three-year prison sentence for Wesley Snipes for tax evasion, according to a court filing released – appropriately – on Tuesday, tax day. Per the papers, filed by U.S. Attorney Robert O’Neill, the actor also ought to pay a $5 million fine for his “brazen defiance” of tax laws that cheated the government out of $41 million.

“This case cries out for the statutory maximum term of imprisonment, as well as a substantial fine, because of the seriousness of defendant Snipes’ crimes and because of the singular opportunity this case presents to deter tax crime nationwide,” the attorney writes.

The documents also claim that Wesley and two cohorts “brazenly waged a campaign” against the Internal Revenue Service by mailing fake claims and filings to the agency, in addition to making “frivolous” Freedom of Information Act requests for IRS records.

Tsk, tsk at him thinking he could get away with ganking the IRS of all those stacks upon stacks. Dumbass.

Foxy Brown

Hold on to your hats. More drama is bound to be under way. Inga’s been let loose:

Foxy will be free after serving a 241 day prison term for violating her probation, thanks to a 2004 assault charge, she has more legal woes to fight through.

Her manager revealed that she is due back in court on May 5th to answer for an incident where she’s accused of assaulting her neighbor with her Blackberry phone, which led to her probation violation and incarceration. The case is still pending.

Brown will also have to answer to charges of battery and obstruction of justice in Florida, stemming from an incident at a South Beach beauty supply store in February 2007 where she allegedly spat and squirted hair glue at the owner after she was asked to leave.

In between dealing with court, Foxy will also get back to her career. After being released, she will gear up for the release of her fourth studio album, Brooklyn’s Don Diva.

The album was initially was set for release February, but was pushed back [to May 13th], pending the rapper’s release.

She is rumored to begin filming a reality show as well.

Damn, this b**chs’ life is hectic. We hope she didn’t break that Blackberry when she chucked it at that chick, because she’s going to need it. You know, someone really needs to hook her up with Naomi.
