You can not only forget about Beyonce Knowles winning an Oscar for best actress this year. (If you haven’t heard, a certain ingenue keeps upstaging her throughout “Dreamgirls.” And in the race for best comedy/musical actress, she’s up against a real devil — Meryl Streep — who knows a lot about winning Globes.) Now it looks like Beyonce won’t win as a songwriter either — for “Listen,” one of the original new tunes added to the original Broadway score. Officially, she’s listed as one of the song’s four writers, but the motion-picture academy only permits three names — max — as a credit

You mean to tell me Beyonce is not that creative and Mr. Knowles smartly forces her name to be put on as a songwriting credit, no waaaaaaaay. And I thought the writers at Bossip could go two weeks without being called haters. BROOKLYN Beyonce Stans, STAND UP!

When Matthew Knowles is not snorting Yay , he does try to manage artists these days. It is being reported by the E Channel that Matthew is hating on Jhud because she refused to sign with his management company and because she dissed him, he tried to get her role in Dreamgirls cut down. Be careful Jennifer, Matthew Knowles is known for smashing careers up, ask LaTavia and Letoya.

“He tried to sign her halfway through production of Dreamgirls because he wanted to be her manager,” my source says, “but Jennifer turned him down. That’s when things really went south.”…I’m told that Daddy was so insulted by her refusal to sign with him that he demanded the movie be re-edited to lessen Hudson’s screen time and boost Beyoncé’s. He argued that his daughter was being shortchanged but was rebuffed by the studio and the filmmakers. In one meeting with director Bill Condon, I’m told, Beyoncé’s mom, Tina, went into a “tirade” about how he ruined the movie for her daughter. “It was supposed to be her Oscar role,” Tina hissed, according to a source…..

Jennifer Hudson was nominated for a Golden Globe for best supporting actress today. Beyonce got a nomination for best actress for musical or comedy (separate from Best Actress-General) and Eddie Murphy got a nod for best supporting actor. Reports surfaced last week that the studio behind Dreamgirls was lobbying for Beyonce to cop Best Actress awards despite Jhud’s star performance. Beyonce also copped a nomination for Best Song. The Golden Globe Awards are pretty much the “Pre-Oscars”. Will Smith and Forest Whitaker got nods for Best Actor. Click here for full list.

Knowles, Jay and some Def Jam executives were at STK on West 12th Street on Saturday talking about the four-day “party” – but insiders say it will be more than a birthday celebration. “Beyoncé is throwing Jay a four-day birthday party, but it’s really a wedding,” said one source. Guests, including family and close friends, were told to have passport applications filed by last Friday so they can attend the bash on a yacht in St. Barts. But insiders said the guests will also be ferried over to Anguilla for the wedding at Cap Juluca, a five-star resort with Moorish villas. Another spy said Knowles and Jay-Z had toured the site earlier this year and approved it for their nuptials. Reps for Knowles, Jay-Z and Cap Juluca didn’t return calls or e-mails. The rapper/mogul has dated the lovely Knowles, now bigger than ever with her star turn in “Dreamgirls,” for four years.

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds, a film producer and the ex-wife of singer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, are dating, she tells PEOPLE exclusively. The couple have been seeing each other “for about a month and a half,” Edmonds said at the New York premiere of Dreamgirls, which she attended with Murphy on Monday. When asked if she was happy she smiled and said, “Yes, very happy. We’re having fun.”

“Having fun” pretty much means Eddie is soaking Tracey’s panties up. Tracey still looks kinda hot, especially for her age. Kinda shady how this news comes on the same day as the item below. Eddie and Tracey have met up a couple times at “very public” places such as the IVY in LA which has papparazi camped out pretty much all day.

Beyonce had her best face on during the ‘TODAY SHOW’ on NBC today where she performed. The only thing the public may not be tired of with Beyonce is her crawling on the floor and showing her backs in some tight jeans. WE HAVE SEEN “WHAT YOU GOT”, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! Time for some fresh faces and talent.

“I knew that the character that I played wasn’t the star,” Knowles, 25, told reporters on Saturday about knowing full well that her Diana Ross-esque role of Deena Jones was less meaty than Hudson’s part as Effie White – a part that is already getting Hudson Oscar buzz. “She wasn’t the underdog. She didn’t have the struggle and the pain and the dramatic scenes that Effie had, and I was fine with that.” Taking the role was about proving herself as an actress. “I’m already a star. I already have nine Grammys. Everyone knows I can sing,” Knowles said. “I did this because I wanted people to know that I can act and I can play someone so different from myself.” “Because I’m a star they just automatically assume that I’m not humble enough to sit down and take a back seat, which I am.” But the R&B star did admit that she would have liked to have sung Effie’s song, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” a showstopper that, in large part, helped get Jennifer Holliday a Tony Award for best actress for the original 1981 Broadway version of Dreamgirls. “I mean,” said Knowles, “I wish I could’ve gained 20 pounds and played Effie.” Asked if she’d really have packed on the weight for the part, Knowles said, “Yes. I absolutely would have, but Bill (Condon, the movie’s writer-director) didn’t even believe that I could be Deena. So imagine if I would’ve said, ‘Bill, I want to be Effie.’ ” And Knowles has high praise for Hudson’s portrayal of Effie. “Jennifer Hudson had such a pressure, first of all, never being in a film and never have done an album and still having to live up to those expectations,” said Knowles. “She did incredible.”

The media and critics are taking a clear side in the “Beyonce Wars” and they have crowned Jennifer Hudson as deserving of the most shine in the highly anticipated movie Dreamgirls.

NY Post is now jumping on the Jennifer Hudson bandwagon with the headline: DREAMGIRL AND IT’S NOT BEYONCE: HOW AN ‘IDOL’ LOSER STEALS THE HOTTEST FILM OF THE SEASON. They say Hudson was so talented in Dreamgirls that she made Beyonce look like a “pretty extra’.

After being promiscuously promoted and sometimes thrown down the throat of the public with aggressive marketing, people seem to be getting sick of Beyonce, the media critics seem to be a little late that Beyonce is not all that. And to the Beyonce cult member stans out there, everyone who thinks Beyonce and her weaves are tired are not haters, they may just be a little more objective and independent minded. Could the “mainstream media” be turning against Beyonce because she told Blender magazine “I make BLACK MUSIC”?

Come on Ms. Hudson, “SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT”!

‘”Blood Diamond,” Ed Zwick’s film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Djimon Hounsou and Jennifer Connelly, doesn’t open until Dec. 15, but it’s already getting more free publicity than Warner Bros. could have dreamed of. Set in the late ’90s when rebel militias seized control of Sierra Leone’s diamond mines, selling rough gems to buy weapons they used to slaughter and mutilate many thousands of innocent people, “Blood Diamond” tells a fictional tale of two South Africans, a white mercenary and a black fisherman, who find a rare pink diamond.But even two months before its release the film has spurred talk that it could turn consumers off to buying diamonds for fear their money would be supporting murderers.

De Beers, the international diamond cartel that controls the majority of the world’s diamonds, has gone on the offensive to try to distance the industry from the history depicted in the film. But according to Ken Sunshine, Leonardo DiCaprio’s publicist, those connected with the movie feel the stepped-up public relations efforts have backfired for De Beers.

“I hope they keep on publicizing the controversies and our ‘Blood Diamond’ movie,” Sunshine said…..

Insiders told TMZ.com that recently on the set of the hit show Grey’s Anatomy actor Isaiah Washington said some “disgusting things” to actor Patrick Dempsey. The National Enquirer and The New York Daily News put a twist on the story saying that Washington actually choked Dempsey.

According to the ABC lot where the show is taped the production came to a screechinghalt when Dempsey left the set and was een sitting outside by himself. I say this is just another case of the angry black man syndrome. It’s ok brotha we got your back but please maintain your cool before they really do begin to label you the angry black man. Sounds like Isiah may be getting a little full of himself as well, he tells People magazine:

“Our faces are too beautiful for that!,” says Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke. Dempsey plays heartthrob Dr. Derek Shepherd, otherwise known as “Dr. McDreamy.”

“In close families arguments happen,” Dempsey’s rep tells PEOPLE. “They worked it out.” Washington even learned a little something about his costar. “I’ve never been that close to (Patrick) before,” he says. “He has really pretty blue eyes.”

Isiah you got a hit show, relax, start thinking you’re on the same ground as Dempsey and “acting up” on the set and you will probably go back to the “N” list with subpar roles in no time. SMH at Isaiah pulling a Latrell Sprewell. Don’t get drunk with your “new found” status. BTW, a guy should never say his friends eyes are “pretty”. SMH, sounds like a bitch fight to me.
