According to Diddy, Cassie is new and improved:

“Although pop star Cassie had a huge hit in 2006 with her single ‘Me and You’, critics and fans alike were appalled by her severe vocal challenges during a string of promotional performances on TV. Her label head, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, tells Billboard that Cassie has since stepped up her game and has songs on her sophomore album that will impress the haters.

Explaining Cassie’s poor performances during the promotion of her self-titled debut album, Diddy says: ‘I just don’t think she was ready. I think that we threw her into the spotlight without the artist development — that goes on with a lot of new artists. We pulled out, we took our time, we developed her for like, a year-and-a-half. People are just going to see her there and be like, ‘Wow, she’s really cocooned into a butterfly.’”

We’ll just have to wait and see on that one. So far, it looks like the f**kin for tracks approach is really working out for ole girl.

Cassie recently explained she is still in the game because of talent, not fu*kin for tracks:

No I haven’t ever dated Diddy. I’m his artist, and we are actually friends. We really are friends. I am fortunate to have that connection with him, we just happened to have really hit it off as friends, but that’s it. It doesn’t bother me people think that or say that we are dating as people are going to say it regardless if I am bothered or not right? [laughs] These are my friends. I’m not going to stop hanging around someone or stop being friends with someone because people are making up things you know? It used to bother me a lot more but now I am like “whatever.”

I think people definitely perceive me as being with these men [Diddy, Ryan Leslie] because they don’t understand how I could ever get to where I am without sleeping with them; do you know what I mean? I have never put myself out there in any situation that would make me seem slutty [laughs] but I guess that’s what people think of me.

We don’t believe you, you need more people.

A highly placed source exclusively tells Bossip that the girl Diddy was fighting over in a club last week was Cassie, not the alleged victims girlfriend as has been rumored. The well positioned source says The NY Post got which girl the fight was over wrong:

“Steve’s girlfriend Julie told them it was about her to get her name in the paper”

Bossip was the first media outlet to report that Cassie was fu*kin for tracks with Diddy last year. Oh yeah, Cassie has a new album dropping later this year.

Bossip exclusively reported almost a whole year ago that Puffy and Cassie had a relationship that was beyond music and “friendship”. Now VH1′s blog has suggested that the two are “knocking boots”. Diddy and Cassie have been leanin’ on each other at NYC clubs all month.

I guess ya’ll will believe it now. Damn, Diddy just seems like he don’t give a f*ck. Two babymamas that have known each other for years, parading his young meat around while having his puppet Kim on the other arm. SMH.

Cassie is profiled in the new issue of Complex Magazine and she has something to say about not bringing her A-game on her first album and live performances. She denies fu*kin’ for tracks and says she wants to date Snoop Dogg. If she isn’t fu*kin for tracks right now, she may want to consider it to make sure someone writes another hit song for her with a sick beat.

Diddy recently spoke to MTV about Cassie still being on the Badboy roster:

“Cassie’s definitely not dropped from Bad Boy…She’s in the studio [working on her next album]. So many people are excited to be working with her. … She was just in the studio with Kanye West. She’s going to be doing some stuff with Pharrell. People really understand that she does have some talent and it takes some time to mold it. Everybody’s not perfect. I think she had some rough shows, just being nervous. Sometimes people have to break out of that…”When you’re a label, you have to be with people through good times and bad times,” Diddy said. “But she’s out of that now. She went over to Europe with me and killed the MTV Europe Music Awards. She has her swagger on.”

Diddy is starting to sound more delusional than Kim Porter, Kanye and Pharrell don’t think she has a lot of talent, they are probably playing the fu*king for tracks game and just collecting a producer check. SMH.

Although Cassie was spotted recently at a BadBoy event, rumors are flying this week that she is officially off BadBoy. On her Myspace, Diddy and Badboy have dropped off her friends list, Diddy dropped off Ryan Leslie’s page, and Cassie and Ryan Leslie can’t be seen on Diddy’s top friends list although BadBoy artists B5 and Elephant Man make the cut.

Did Diddy get tired of bangin her on the side? It is a tough sell to think he signed her on the strength of her dancing and singing.

South Beach is the spot for New Year’s and Cassie made the trip down for some good kini fun. Cassie is smartly striking while the iron is hot and is currently working on a movie and fashion line. She recently denied she is leaving Badboy with “Why would I leave the place that birthed my career”. Do people really believe that garbage that Media Fakeout is running these days? Cassie also says she is working on a new album and we probably can assume this will be her last one.
