Kanye is looking to settle down, but can’t find the right woman:

“I want to have kids,” he tells PEOPLE. “But I want to have the right girl too – someone who really cares about me.” Still, the savvy hip-hop star is no easy prey. “When I’m in a club, girls are super-calculating, planning every step,” he says.

West – speaking exactly a year and a day since the sudden death of his mother, Donda – said making his new album, 808′s and Heartbreak, helped him deal with his sense of isolation. (It was a rough year for West. In addition to losing his mother, he also split with his fiancée, Alexis Phifer.)

“It’s lonely at the top,” he told reporters Tuesday at a London listening party for the new album. “Losing my mom, having no woman in my life to support me – I feel like I’m on my own and can only express it through my music.”

Poor thang can’t find a decent chick to save his life. He’s doing the right thing by not paying attention to any of the sisters in the club who wouldn’t give him the time of day if his stacks weren’t sky high. Good luck, Yeezy; you’re gonna need it.

Alexis Phifer is talking to the media about being dumped by Kanye and is trying to gank some publicity for her fashion line before she falls off the map.

“It’s always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends,” Phifer tells PEOPLE. “I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met.” Phifer was spotted on the red carpet sans her engagement ring at an “Evenings in Vogue” event on Thursday night in New York, where her clothing line, Ghita, was featured. According to the friend, Phifer and West, both 30, had been spending less time together in the last few weeks as the Grammy-winning star prepared for his nationwide “Glow in the Dark” tour. “I haven’t seen [Alexis] around at all the last few times I’ve seen him recently,” the friend added.

Kanye West denies the rumors that he and fiancé Alexis Phifer had a ‘secret wedding’ while in Europe recently:

Internet reports that the two wed in a secret ceremony in Europe are “untrue.” West, 30, proposed to Phifer in 2006 while vacationing in Italy. They spent time in Europe earlier this month for Paris Fashion Week. Sources close to the Grammy-Award winning rapper previously said that he would tie the knot with Phifer to honor his late mother’s wishes that they make their relationship official. West has also said he’d have a low-key ceremony.

“I’m just going to go and get married,” he told GQ last year. “I’m not going to make a big deal out of it.”

Here is Kanye West’s reaction to being denied a seat at the Balenciaga fashion show in Paris because of his ‘hip-hop’ image:

“My first love is for fashion and I appreciate just being in a position to afford to be able to spend a week in Paris visiting shows. I totally love and respect any designer that won’t let me come to their show. It’s their show. They don’t owe me anything. I just love the clothes. Lex (his fiancee Alexis Phifer) and I are not there to take pictures. I don’t have an album about to drop. My tour is sold out. I love fashion and this is one of the funniest things we can make time for. Balenciaga is one of the illest lines right now and I don’t feel any type of way about not getting in. There’s always a catch 22 in being a celeb – your motives are always questioned – but only time will show my true love.”

That’s an interesting reaction from Mr. Arrogant Cry-Baby himself.  Yeezy must be maturing a little bit.  Good for him.

Kanye West and fiancée Alexis Phifer hit up the Louis Vuitton Gala Celebrating the Murakami Exhibition in LA. Yeah, we’re feelin their out of the box swag and they are definitely a fly couple, but we are not so much feelin the white shoes Ye’s boo is rockin. Not because they’re white and it’s after labor day (that rule is dated), but just because they are ugly.

Meagan Good and Thomas Jones on the other hand, look like they got that savagery love going on, like he just look like he be blowing that back out for real.

Kanye West and fiancee Alexis Phifer was seen sharing a toast over dinner this weekend. It was announced today that “Graduation” beat out 50′s “Curtis” for the number one spot on the UK charts.

Kanye recently dropped “How To Make A Classic Record 101″ on the Herald Sun:

“If you’ve got 16 lines of verse, you need to have every line mean something and have impact. I’ve stepped it up to a whole new poetry level of insight and philosophy.

“I have just enough clever lines, spirituality, curse words for my rhymes to go down smooth. Lyrically, I’m at a whole ‘nother level. It’s a situation where I’m not competing with other hip-hop artists any more. I’m more of a ambassador for hip-hop.”

Ambassador West says hip-hop should be about more than a swagger, baggy jeans and spruiking soft drink.

“A lot of hip-hop artists don’t have the ability to make classic songs because they spend most of their time rapping about themselves rather than what people really care about,” West says.“My songs are songs. They are songs to help in life, to inspire. Let me speak in the third person for a second — a Kanye West album is like a brand, like Louis Vuitton, or Nike, or the latest Jordans. You buy a pair of Jordans, take them to school and everybody goes, `Wow’. Second pair, incredible. Third pair, you don’t even have to say it. It’s like me. People just know. It’s a Kanye West.”

The numbers don’t lie. We’ll let him feel himself this week..

Kanye’s mother, Dr.Donda West, has co-signed his relationship with Alexis Phifer. She tells People Magazine:

“She’s quite talented, very intelligent, very creative. Very sweet, thoughtful, generous. I can’t think of one negative thing I would say about her, even in private! As for a wedding date, she says “they’re so busy traveling the world and having fun that they haven’t had time”.

Please don’t clown Kanye’s mother again. Say something nice.
