Natalie Cole was admitted to the hospital recently:

Natalie Cole has suffered a setback in her treatment for hepatitis C and has been hospitalized in New York, PEOPLE has learned.  The side effects of Cole’s grueling chemotherapy treatment for the liver disease, paired with a strenuous promotional schedule in support of her just-released new album Still Unforgettable, are what led to the Grammy winner’s hospitalization, her reps tell.  Cole, 58, was diagnosed with the liver disease in April and has been free of the hepatitis C virus since starting treatment this summer. She will return to her home in Los Angeles in the coming days and will be on a month-long bed rest so she can recuperate, say her reps. She is also postponing her planned October performances.

“It’s debilitating,” she said. “My hair is starting to fall out [from the chemo]. I lost 15 lbs. and I looked like a scarecrow.”  Cole said her “the show must go on” philosophy has helped her cope with her health issues.

We hope the best for Ms. Cole, she has had a hard knock life. She is most definitely a trooper. We pray she makes it past this obstacle as well.

Jamie Foxx (photoed above with his sister) was out getting his swirl on tough in Vegas this weekend:

Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx got his blond fix in Vegas last weekend. The “Ray” star’s first target was “Dancing With the Stars” beauty Stacy Keibler. “She was bent over his lap, and he had his hands all over her body,” said a spy at the preview of Noah Tepperberg’s Lavo nightclub Friday night. “

The next day, he hit the Tao Beach pool, where he locked his radar on “Jericho” actress Ashley Scott. She, too, seemed resistant to his charms. So, that night it was back to Lavo, where we watched Foxx pull up to the bumper of another blond.

SMH.

This flaming Fashionista, got butch yesterday:

The 6-foot-8 Vogue icon Andre Leon Talley, cuts a flamboyant figure even when he’s calm. Imagine when he’s frantic. Talley was early for the Stephen Burroughs fashion show on Friday and sitting in the vestibule of the designer’s West 38th Street showroom when a man opened a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck champagne and it sprayed all over Talley. The drenched fashionista screamed, “Look what you’ve done! I’ve got to wear these clothes all day!” And when the clumsy sprayer tried to towel him off, Talley yelled, “Get your hands off me!”

That sounds like some pure comedy. You know he had on some bullsh*t authentic “Possum” coat or something. We find it hard to believe that all of his “fashion sense” didn’t tell his big moronic ass to bring a change a clothes. Poor thang.

Lil Rudy is not so little anymore:

Television child star, Keshia Knight Pulliam, 29, has certainly out grown her role as the cute adorable Rudy Huxtable of the family sitcom, The Cosby Show. The talented actress has made a name for herself by turning her childhood success into solid adult roles. Pulliam has gone from working with one heavy-hitter, the legendary Bill Cosby, to another-Tyler Perry, a film/TV/theater legend in the making. A new generation is now enjoying her talents each week on the top-rated TBS sitcom, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne as Miranda. “It’s wonderful to work with someone like Tyler Perry who is an innovator in everything he’s done,” said Pulliam. “Being such a highly acclaimed show, it was a perfect fit.” What’s next for Pulliam? Early next year she will star in the film Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail. Pulliam will portray a troubled prostitute named Candy. “I was so excited to play this role. It’s so ‘out the box’ from anything that anyone has seen of me,” she said. “I know people will be shocked because they grew up with me as a child.”

Who cares about all that ‘talent’ talk, Lil Rudy is fine as hell now.

Some Philly cat f*cked some dude up on the subway with a hammer while his son watched. SMH:

Police have arrested a man suspected of brutally attacking a dozing subway passenger with a hammer while other riders did nothing to stop the assault, the city’s police commissioner said Wednesday. Thomas Scantling, 26, of Philadelphia, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related charges, police said. Scantling, who was taken into custody in a mental institution late Tuesday, has a lengthy record of rape and other convictions, Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said on NBC’s Today. The assailant entered the train with his 5-year-old son, directed the boy to a seat, calmly pulled a hammer from a backpack and attacked a man dozing in a nearby seat. At least 10 other riders were in the car, yet no one interfered as the attacker repeatedly struck the victim in the train car and later out on a platform. They better pray they’re never a victim, because if someone was attacking them that way they would certainly hope someone would step forward and help, and it starts with stepping forward and doing something yourself.

Got damn this fool has a problem! Banging on poor innocent people with “baby” Scantling on deck. We hope this “bafoon” never gets to see daylight again.

MC Breed is currently on life support after collapsing during a basketball game in ATL:

Flint, Michigan rapper MC Breed is in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital in Atlanta, where he is on life support due to kidney failure, AllHipHop.com has confirmed. His manager, Darryl Morris, said the rapper, born Eric Breed, was playing a game of pickup basketball yesterday evening (September 5) in Atlanta, when he collapsed and fell unconscious. “He had to be revived three times,” Morris told AllHipHop.com. “He had to be rushed to the hospital where they diagnosed him and told him his kidney’s have failed.”

Now, MC Breed, 36, is in serious need of a kidney transplant and is seeking a donor to help save his life.

Sho’nuff has passed away:

Character actor Julius Carry died Aug. 19 in Los Angeles of pancreatic cancer. He was 56.Carry appeared in more than 100 guest roles including “Hill Street Blues,” “Jag,” “Spin City” and “Moesha.”

He also appeared as the villain Sho’nuff in the cult pic “The Last Dragon.” Other feature credits included “The New Guy,” “Moving,” “World Gone Wild,” “The Man With The Red Shoe” and “The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh.” Born in Chicago, his first screen credit was in “Disco Godfather.” Carry is survived by his wife Naomi.

Also Ohio Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones passed as well:

Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones, a longtime member of Congress and most recently a stalwart supporter of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, died today just after 6 p.m. Her hometown paper, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, reported earlier that the police found her unconscious in her car on Tuesday night, after seeing it weave erratically. She was seeking her sixth term in Congress. And she was a prominent member of the Congressional Black Caucus as well as a recent co-chairwoman of the Ethics Committee, which she helped to rebuild after a stormy period when the Foley page scandal rocked the House of Representatives.

“LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. Moore had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program.”
