Frank Ocean – Dream Killa
Just when you thought we wouldn’t hear from Frank Ocean for awhile, a new unreleased track/leak has surfaced entitled Dream Killa. One of out favorite newcomers keeps on surprising us one track at a time.

Monica feat Rick Ross, Lil Kim (Produced by Missy Elliot) – Anything (To Find You)
Monica’s new song, “Anything To Find You,” features Rick Ross and Lil Kim, just leaked. The track was produced by Missy Elliott, who remixed Monica’s vocals with Biggie and Mary J Blige samples. We’re hearing this isn’t the official single off the new album out this fall, but we’re still loving it.

Dom Kennedy feat. Big K.R.I.T. – 2mph
Definitely one of the standout tracks from Dom Kennedy’s newly released From The West$ide With Love II album. Features the ever so talented man from the ‘Sip, Big K.R.I.T.

Rahsaan Patterson feat. LaLah Hathaway – 6 AM
A hot new single from Rahsaan Patterson, a perfect fun summer dance groove with the even more powerful vocals from both singers. What do you think?

We know this is the second time we’ve posted something this week from Ms.Moses but we can’t help it! Right off Teedra’s highly anticipated mixtape Luxurious Undergrind, what can we say, this song is SPECIAL.

Common – Ghetto Dreams feat. Nas
Dear young boys: just so it’s clear, they might not do it every day, but Common and Nas can still get down like they were in their early 20s. P.S.: please tell the rest of the young people that people over 30 still enjoy Hip-Hop. In other words: sometimes the “cooking” must be muted.

The Knux – Run feat. Kid Cudi
In case anyone thought we were on an anti- “Youth In Hip-Hop” kick. We’re not. In fact, this joint we like very much. Because we happen to be fans of out-of-the-box creativity all day. Get more of the Knux here.

Teedra Moses – Another Luvr
Teedra dropped a new mixtape yesterday called Luxurious Undergrind yesterday. Unfortunately, dealing with all of this “Monday disguised as a Tuesday” post-three-day-weekend nonsense kept us from peeping the whole thing today. But if it all sounds like this, it will easily become our favorite mixtape of the summer.

Sean Paul – Got To Luv Ya feat. Alexis Jordan
We would love Sean Paul to get another radio hit for non-Caribbean clubs to add to their play-play reggae sets. And this song could actually be that hit… as soon as Rihanna or someone else with less vocal ability comes and takes that spot Alexis Jordan is holding. Because she just sounds lost on this song.

Cool Kids – Summer Jam feat. Maxine Ashley and Pharell Williams
Have you noticed by now that we heart songs that sound like summer? This is another one… maybe we’ll make a special Songs of Summer 2011 playlist for y’all soon…

Yes, this is officially the Summer of Remakes We’ll Call Remixes. Here, Shanell puts a real singers vocals on Lil’ Wayne’s surprisingly good singing debut… which is a little bitter sweet, because now we see what this song could have been. Which version do you like best?

Don’t call it a comeback! The Kang is done making songs about how sorry he is about being a fk up. Instead, it sounds like he’s got his swag back and he’s ready to reclaim his throne in the A. We haven’t liked a T.I. single on the first listen in a minute! So we’re excited.

Tyrese – I Got A Chick feat. R. Kelly and Tyga

You would probably expect all types of corniness from this combination of artists right? Surprisingly, this song is refreshingly dope. And we’re really glad Tyrese chose to let someone other than his alter ego Black Ty handle the rapping on this joint.

Jay-Z – Criminology (Freestyle)

For you man-stans out there, since they’re keeping this Jay-Z x Yeezy “Watch The Throne” joint so tightly under wraps, we offer this previously unreleased freestyle/radio interview from a throwback Hov with no beefs. He shouts out Dame Dash AND Jaz O. That’s how much of a throwback. Enjoy!

John West – Right Now
Whenever a new artist gets signed to a label and we love the first single, we always hold our breath for single number two. Because it could go either way. In this case, we’re still loving John West. (Shout out to Vibe.com on premiering this joint)

DJ Khaled ft. Fabolous, Mary J. Blige & Jadakiss – It Aint Over Til It’s Over

Khaled brought back the Mary J. Blige we LOVE on this joint. The “P.S.K. What Does It Mean?” sample with Fabolous and Jadakiss patterning their delivery after the original solidify this joint as a summer classic. Remember we said that when your local radio station starts playing this joint 15 times a day.

Bertell – Simply Beautiful

Newcomer Bertell takes a crack at remaking this often sampled Al Green classic. And the young man does Reverend Al proud. If you’re a Mary J. Blige fan, you’ll remember it as the foundation of her song “PMS” from the “No More Drama” album. If you’re a fan of the magic that Kanye West and Talib Kweli make together, than you’ll remember the sample from “Good To You” off of the “Quality” album. Wale – That Way feat. Jeremih & Rick Ross

This song just hit the radio in some markets, even though it’s been online for about a month now. But we felt it necessary to tell Wale that THIS is what he needs to do more of. Y’all pass the word along, please.

Here’s another example of those easy rap joints you can just throw in a playlist and bump effortlessly. The kinda song that just blends into whatever you’re doing… but in a good way.
