Rapper Lupe Fiasco who is a practicing Muslim was honored by GQ as a “Man of The Year” attended the GQ party in LA honoring the winners and brought along “Marquita”.

Lupe: Forget this Muslim stuff, I better start taking dates to events, those little Cosby kids and wannabe hip-hop dudes over at Nah Right are calling me gay.

The numbers are in from this weeks charts and Lupe Fiasco didn’t even make the top ten with 58,000 albums sold. He was beat out by Chingy at number 8 and Ms. Fergie at number 3. Wow!! Whoever was in charge of pushing his album failed miserably. Maybe they should have gotten it out there when the hype around him was still buzzing.

We aren’t the only ones feeling the disappointment, Nah Right wasn’t feeling the results either:

“Man, Atlantic really f*cked this one up didn’t they. I Gotcha as a second single? When you have Daydream, Hurt Me Soul, and The Cool on the same album? Ya’ll might as well have let me run the marketing campaign for F&L, I couldn’t have possibly done any worse.”

What the hell was Atlantic thinking on this one? Wrong move, wrong move.

Lupe Fiasco is a brilliant guy. Emerging as a HipHop artist without being showy with the glitz and brandishing a “piece”, he is refreshing and uplifting.

For those of you who were skeptics of this skateboarding beat mixer, pull a ‘fakie’ and check out the “Food & Liquor” debut LP, it is ‘sick crazy’.

Lupe Fiasco had a concert on Governor’s Island in NYC over the weekend and debuted this nappy shag for the audience to see.  We aren’t feeling it not to mention that style was retired months ago.

It’s rumored that Mr. Dumb it Down, Lupe Fiasco, was putting his hands on women at a T-Mobile event in NYC. Via Illseed at AHH:

“Lupe was talking to a young lady and the girl threw her drink in his face. Lupe then proceeds to choke her out. The bouncers threw Lupe out of the party. Lupe said it was not his fault. I don’t know what he said to the girl but she obviously didn’t like it.”

Come Lupe, say it ain’t so, say it ain’t so. We hope it’s not true.
