We had a chance to hit up the 2008 Hip Hop Summit in Philly Sunday where T.I., Blood Diamond Russ, Ciara, Lil Mama, Flo Rida, Styles P, and others spoke on the importance of voting:

BDR: “Voting is an act of empowering oneself and the masses are witnessing the importance of the youth vote. You are going to make the critical difference!”

T.I.: “I personally know the value of having the right to vote and it being taken away from you. This is the most important election of our lifetime. Focus on what you can do to help make the change. Everyone here has a voice– Do your part!”

Lil Mama: “I came out of the hood and I know that if we want to improve these communities, all of us must go out and vote in record numbers.”

Ciara gets a pass for putting the rack on display for the kids since it was for a good cause. SMH. We must say that T.I. and Lil Mama commanded the presence on stage for the youth that were in attendance, they had the crowd going wild with their statements. Kudos to them.

The Pennsylvania primaries are today, get out there and vote. Philly stand up!

Ciara and TI are amongst a long list of celebrities set to to participate in the “Turn Up the Vote” event this weekend. The event, which is co-sponsored by Russell Simmons’ Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, will take place in Philadelphia.

Here is what 50 Cent’s baby’s mom Shaniqua Tompkins’ lawyer had to say in response to getting the boot from the crib:

“She didn’t go to school and she nursed him back to health when he got shot nine times. She’s been with him since day one, and she’s not some gold digger.”

Yeah right, how would she explain wanting to double 25K worth of child support? If she’s not a gold digger, she’s just greedy ass broad. SMH.

50 Cent is denying that he told Paris Hilton to “Get the fu*k off my stage” at a recent pre-Super bowl party:

DJ Whoo Kid, who was on stage with 50 Cent at the event stated, “It’s no way we would kick Paris Hilton off the stage… We ain’t (sic) that heartless. I know 50 hates Ja Rule and Fat Joe, but he ain’t that heartless to throw Paris Hilton… off the stage.”

50 on the statement, “Somebody called me and asked me if Paris got kicked off. I was like, ‘Huh?’ She was dancing the whole time. She was having a good time. We hung with her afterwards. I guess people wanna hear, ‘50 threw Paris Hilton off the stage.’ “

That’s too bad, because the thought of Paris’ herpes ass getting kicked off the stage sounded like pure comedy. Something was a little fishy with that story though, since we are fully aware of No Cent’s love for the racist cokewhore.
