The last artist standing, the beautiful and talented Alicia Keys recently worked with John Mayer on her new album. He co-signs our sentiments about AK on his blog:

This is probably about as obvious as telling you the sky is blue, but Alicia is the most authentic artist of our generation… She’s strong where she needs to be…Not just strong as a woman (there are many strong women out there) but strong as an artist (there are few, regardless of gender). She has the vision DOWN and doesn’t waste time getting there

The Royalty Network claims Beyonce Knowles dba B-Day Publishing, Columbia Recording Corp., Sony BMG Music Entertainment and EMI April Music violated copyright on the tune “I’m Kissing You,” by Timothy Atack and Desree Weeks, which the plaintiff administers on behalf of Westbury Music, in Manhattan Federal Court.

This “counterfeit music”-music industry needs to start promoting some real artists, the kind that play instruments, write their own sh*t, real creative, etc. This fair-skinned with a good wig and a good voice package deal is getting kinda played. You can’t really go at Beyonce or Rihanna, they are just part of the machine and trying to get paid.

According to the New York Daily News, Kimora Lee Simmons attended Alicia Keys’ 27th birthday party last night and disrupted things when she was heard yelling “get out of my face b*tch”. Guests at the party rushed over and saw Kimora yelling at a “mystery” woman. Kimora said the woman threw a drink on her. According to Kimora’s reps, the woman is stalking her and shows up “constantly” at events where Kimora is expected. Well, the woman is obviously “someone” to be at all the parties that Kimora is at. Hmmmmm, wonder who this “mystery” woman can be?
