oprah forbes

Forbes has made it’s list of top-earning Black celebrities and of course Oprah tops the list with $260 million which is equivalent to $712,000 a day. Damn that’s a lot of paper. Oprah has definitely got the game on lock and will probably hold that number one spot for a minute.

After admitting on Howard Stern he liked getting his salad tossed and bashing Oprah last year, No Cents officially endorsed that shady Hillary Clinton yesterday. Whoever this fool is supporting, you know that’s the self-hating vote.

The G-Unit ‘I had My Salad Tossed” rapper told Fox News ‘America is not ready for a Black President’. Discuss.

mo’nique and husband

Here is a quote from Mo’Nique back in 2007 from a NY Times article discussing her open realtionship with husband Sidney Hicks:

We have an agreement that we’ll always be honest, and if sex happens with another person, that’s not a deal breaker for us, that’s not something where we’ll have to say, ‘Oh God, we’ve got to go to divorce court because you cheated on me.’ Because we don’t cheat.

Mo’Nique went on Oprah recently and made some clarifications on her open marriage comment:

When I said I had an open marriage, people automatically jumped to sex. They automatically went there. But I’ve been best friends with my husband since we were 14 years old. When we say open, we’re very honest. There are no secrets. Often times you have people that are married, but they’re strangers, and we refuse to be those people. I’ve had to sneak and I’ve had to lie, and I don’t want to do that any more. But my husband is so awesome and so fine and so—oh, girl. … No other man can compare.

OprahCableDeal1

Oprah has inked a deal with Discovery Communication to launch her own cable channel called OWN-Oprah Winfrey Network. Discovery Health Channel will evolve into OWN in 2009 and simulcast in High Definition. Someone needs to put this woman’s face on a $100 bill. She’s unstoppable.

Stedman Not in the Will

Oprah Stedman

Stedman will not receive a lick of Oprah’s money once she kicks the bucket:

Fearing that her estimated $2 billion fortune would be squandered in the event of her untimely passing, Oprah Winfrey’s leaving nothing to chance. Charities and yet-to-be adopted children stand to benefit the most from the enormous estate, while Stedman Graham, O’s partner for the last 21 years, allegedly won’t see a dime. Stedman must live out his days eking by on his own substantially smaller fortune earned from his career as a best-selling author and motivational speaker.

Damn, Stedman can’t even get custody of the dogs. SMH at girls that have not even been adopted yet receiving a chunk of Oprah’s stacks and her man of 21 years not receiving sh*t. Oh well. We wonder how much Gayle King is getting.

Fantasia gave her last performance for the Broadway show, “The Color Purple” this past weekend and Patti Labelle was there to give her a standing ovation.

Damn, we wonder why Fantasia’s giving up that steady money so soon. Her contract must be up. Right.

Solange Blog

Solange discusses her New Year’s resolutions on her Myspace blog:

this year feels very monumental for me, so maybe i get the point.

there a few things i want to achieve this new years myself. use my middle finger alot more. i always think what person did that gesture and made it so famous for saying “f*ck you”! why wasnt it a pinky or a thumb? lol but scince it does mean those clever two words i want to do it alot more. its neccesary to be happy in life. if you think about some of the most great and succesfull people and artist….. prince, oprah, bill gates, basquiat, andy warhol, murakami, michael jackson, kayne west, oh this list could go on forever…. they all had to say it once or twice in their lifetime. people are always gonna try and tear u down for your individuality, your creative drive, you personal choices and all the little things that make you you! people rag on me for everything, from my choices in shoes and lipstick color all the way up to my hair! but at the end of the day YOU have to be happy with YOU! so what if you have the urge to do things that cant be formulated or has four sides? black and white can be so boring without a touch of color!

This is a direct quote from her space and she uses a please excuse my typo disclaimer.

Halle’s baby will be the luckiest kid in the world. The rumor is that Oprah will have the honor of being the baby’s godmother. If Oprah can give her audience members a car, can you imagine this kids life?

Between those two and their bank accounts, we will need a “Raining on These Hoes: Baby Edition”.

OprahStedman1

This past month marked the 15th year anniversary of Oprah and Stedman’s engagement. Can you blame Oprah for keeping him as a fiance? She has too much dough to settle down, even if she’s been with him forever. We wonder if that is the only reason.

Alicia Keys Giant Magazine

Alicia Keys is on the cover of Giant Magazine and inside tries to be vague on a couple of topics:

On her relationship with the Krucial Brothers character:

“That’s what they’ve been saying for a while now, but I don’t usually address that question. Oprah told me never to tell – and I can’t disobey Oprah! I definitely found my partner. I know he is somebody who will always be special to me and that we’re always going to be in each other’s lives.”

She also discusses random couple publicity:

“I was looking at a magazine earlier and thinking, ‘How is it that two people are on a boat in the middle of the ocean and there’s a picture of them there? Like, seriously, how does somebody know when you’re gonna be on a boat in the middle of the ocean? That’s crazy!”

Gee, wonder who she’s talking about. SMH.

Oprah Barack Obama

Oprah Winfrey spoke Saturday at a campaign rally for Barack Obama in Iowa:

“This is very, very personal. I’m here because of my personal conviction about Barack Obama and what I know he can do for America. For the very first time in my life, I feel compelled to stand up and speak out for the man who I believe has a new vision for America. I understand the difference between a book club and free refrigerators. I understand the difference between that and this critical moment in our nation’s history. I believe that Barack Obama will bring statesmanship to the White House. I believe that he will lead with strength, conviction, honor and compassion.”

Jesse Jackson Takes Swipe at Obama

jessejacksonobama81.JPG

Messy Jesse Jackson recently took a silent swipe at Barack Obama:

Yet the Democratic candidates — with the exception of John Edwards, who opened his campaign in New Orleans’ Ninth Ward and has made addressing poverty central to his campaign — have virtually ignored the plight of African Americans in this country. The catastrophic crisis that engulfs the African-American community goes without mention. No urban agenda is given priority. When thousands of African Americans marched in protest in Jena, La., not one candidate showed up.

SMH. Barack Obama doesn’t have to show up at a Jena 6 rally, he is playing the game, to win.

That old 60′s, out of date and out of touch civil rights game is not going to help Obama get anywhere. SMH.

According to a recent study, the majority of Black voters support Hillary over Obama. In other Obama news for the day, Oprah is co-signing his campaign with her stacks and scheduled public appearances.

Superhead

It’s official, this ho is never going to shut her pie hole, or her legs for that matter. She recently did an interview with PR.com and discusses various topics like not remembering what she says, being normal, calling Tyra Banks a bitch, and her son:

PR.com: When you were on Jamie Foxx’s radio show, why did you say that Ray J (Ray J is an R&B singer and younger brother of singer Brandy) was gay?

Karrine Steffans: I don’t remember the Jamie Foxx show (The Foxx Hole on Sirius Satellite Radio) to tell you the truth. I don’t remember anything I said. The Jamie Foxx radio show is one of those things where Jamie’s a good friend of mine. We spent, I think, seven hours together that day on the beach having shots of Patron and drinking champagne and having a good time. Things were said that were just said. It was just good radio. People should stop taking things so literally and so seriously. It’s only radio.

PR.com: So you were just joking around?

Karrine Steffans: I don’t know what I was doing! I was on the radio with Jamie Foxx… drinking. That’s what I was doing. Continue »
