Kwame Kilpatrick’s bust-it-secretary, Christine Beatty, is headed to the big house:

Ex-mayoral aide Christine Beatty pleaded guilty Monday in a text-messaging sex scandal with former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick that gripped the city for nearly a year. She will spend four months in jail.

“I lied under oath,” a tearful Beatty told the judge, echoing the words her former boss, Kilpatrick, uttered in a courtroom during his own guilty plea three months earlier. Both admitted lying when they claimed they were not romantically involved. They were both married at the time.

Beatty, 38, pleaded guilty to two obstruction of justice charges. Under the deal with prosecutors, she will be sentenced next month to serve four months in jail and five years of probation. She will also pay $100,000 in restitution to the city.

We sure hope she was getting her back blown out something viscous because 4 months in jail and $100,000 is a steep price to pay for some wack ass “D.” SMH

It looks like heads might roll at NCSU:

The North Carolina NAACP wants North Carolina State University to expel four students accused of painting racist messages about President-elect Obama on campus.

School Chancellor James Oblinger held a closed-door meeting Wednesday with NAACP President Rev. William Barber to discuss the graffiti in the campus free expression tunnel.

Barber wants an official response within 48 hours. Oblinger says both sides have agreed to move forward.

Four students admitted spray-painting the messages, including one that used a racial slur and suggested shooting Obama in the head.

Officials have said the unidentified students won’t face criminal charges because the writing wasn’t a hate crime since it was written on a wall where free speech is encouraged.

Colleges and Universities have a code of conduct aimed at fostering an environment where young people are able to learn the boundaries between right and wrong on moral and ethical levels.

Where does this incident lie, either morally or ethically?

A recent analysis by the Associated Press suggest Obama is going to split the old man’s wig and do it “to the white meat” on Tuesday:

Barack Obama has pulled ahead in enough states to win the 270 electoral votes he needs to gain the White House — and with states to spare — according to an Associated Press analysis that shows he is now moving beyond typical Democratic territory to challenge John McCain on historically GOP turf.

Even if McCain sweeps the six states that are too close to call, he still seemingly won’t have enough votes to prevail, according to the analysis, which is based on polls, the candidates’ TV spending patterns and interviews with Democratic and Republican strategists. McCain does have a path to victory but it’s a steep climb: He needs a sudden shift in voter sentiment that gives him all six toss-up states plus one or two others that now lean toward Obama.

Don’t get too excited, a lot of white folks will pull back at the last minute out of fear and racism when it’s time to vote. We need everyone to go out full blast and go out there and ride for Barack and Michelle, ride for your own future.

Barack Obama attracted 100,000 people at a Saturday rally here, his biggest crowd ever at a U.S. event.The crowd assembled under the Gateway Arch on a sunny Saturday afternoon to hear Obama speak about taxes and slam the Republicans on economic issues.Lt. Samuel Dotson of the St. Louis Police Department confirmed the number of attendees piled into the grassy lawn by the Mississippi River.

To be sure, big crowds don’t always signal a big turnout on Election Day. But Obama’s ability to draw his largest audience yet in a typically red state that just weeks ago looked out of reach, could signal a changing electoral map. For months Missouri polls put Obama as much as ten percentage points behind Republican John McCain. It was widely believed that McCain’s pick of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate would have won over the state’s conservatives and boosted his chances there. So far, that hasn’t happened.

A Rasmussen poll released on Friday shows Obama leading in Missouri 52% to 46% for McCain.

I know a lot of people are mad seeing this. SMH. Don’t get too confident history will be made. Make plans to ride for your boy Barack on November 4.

A 68-year-old Tampa woman was arrested today for forcing a severely mentally handicapped man to perform oral sex on her, police say.

Luella McAdoo is a longtime family friend of the victim, according to Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis. On April 5, the man’s mother left him in McAdoo’s care while she ran errands. When she came home at about 6 p.m., she found her son performing oral sex on McAdoo. The woman told McAdoo to go home, then she called police because her son, 34, does not have the ability to make a decision about sex on his own, Davis said.

The investigation, Davis said, was particularly challenging because of the victim’s mental condition and inability to communicate verbally. After the detectives investigated, according to Davis, they direct filed the case with the State Attorney’s Office, who filed charges.

McAdoo was arrested at her 953 Chestnut St. W home this morning by Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a Tampa police warrant, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. She was charged with lewd or lascivious battery on an elderly or severely disabled person and is being held at the Orient Road Jail on $7,500 bond, according to jail records.

This shyte is too foul for words. Repulsive.

Just like Nas’ album release party, Kimora managed to pull off a failed event this week too:

Kimora Lee Simmons’ launch of her Fabulosity collection for JCPenney wasn’t fabulous for everyone. A guest tells us the event at Hiro was “so disorganized” that several people walked out because there were no seats. “It was a disaster,” said our spy. “When we complained, we were offered bottles of champagne to stay.” Another source said attendees were groping for freebies and stealing diamond-shaped Fabulosity perfume bottles. Simmons’ rep said, “There was no designated seating, there was a VIP area that was Kimora’s for executives. And no one paid for anything.”

Honestly, it was a clothing line launch for JC Penney’s. That type of bootleg activity is to be expected SMH.

Kimora Lee Simmons attended the Make-A-Wish Foundation luncheon at American Girl Place along with her two daughters Ming Lee and Aoki yesterday. During a recent interview, Kimora comments on BDR and their divorce:

I couldn’t ask for a better father [for my kids]. I’ve been through a lot. I know that women everywhere especially with kids know what I’m saying and it’s difficult when you go through a little bit of a break up or situation in your family–and it’s helping me to find a supportive system and be able to work it out and move on and I think I’m doing that in style. [She and Russell Simmons] help each other with everything now. He’s very supportive.

That’s the least she can say after BDR made that public announcement regarding her motherhood skills. Well, at least it seems they’re trying to keep it civil for the kids sake.
