All types of shyte are jumping off during Fashion Week. Kanye West has just unveiled a new couture venture:

Like Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs before him, Kanye West is looking to expand his hip-hop empire to include fashion. But leave it to Kanye to do it in a big way. The rapper revealed that he’s signed on to design a line of men’s shoes for Louis Vuitton. He’s also working on his own signature line of womens wear (not Vuitton), which is set to launch in the fall. Kanye’s had a good relationship with the luxe French brand. Back in June, he performed at the opening of Takashi Murakami’s lastest show, which included special Louis Vuitton bags. “I grew up with the Louis look, you know,” he told the Guardian paper at last week’s Vuitton runway show in Paris. “I just love the style.”

Louis Vuitton eh? Classy indeed. Kanye’s got interesting taste, we’re curious to see how these kicks turn out.

On Don Imus:

“Imus is a racist. He’s not a person that listens to rap or was influenced by rap, so the two things don’t have anything to do with each other, so f*ck him.”

On Kingdom Come:

“Maybe it was too sophisticated. Maybe I f*cked up.”

On retiring a bunch of times:

“I was watching Fade to Black on VH1, and I was cringing, because I kept saying, ‘It may be the last album’ — I’ve made two albums already! When I put The Black Album out, I said I wasn’t going to say that anymore. I just stopped talking. Nobody believes it. Not even you.”

On Yeezy’s “Big Brother” track:

“Not everything on the song was true, but it was true in his mind. He says ‘Carleen said I could buy two tickets.’ You would think he didn’t get any tickets. I gave him four, he wanted six. It was a charity event! And Coldplay — I introduced him to Coldplay, I gave him the number! But I thought it was a brilliant song. It brought us closer together.”

No Cents is saying he may not do a BET show again because they didn’t tell him that Ye’ was going to bring out Jay-Z to perform on 106th and Park:

50 says he felt “upstaged” by West’s TV collaboration with Jay-Z, stating he could have countered the duet if he been informed about it ahead of time. Angry 50 says, “Every time I do a show, the plans change. Now, either I’m going to know exactly what I’m doing on the show or I’m not going to go. “If I knew I could’ve brought a special guest, I would’ve brought Eminem.”

No one is checkin’ for Eminem right now, he can’t save you from getting owned. Ciara, TimberFAKE, nothing is working. Poor thang.

As Bossip exclusively reported, industry execs expect Ye’ to have the biggest first week album sales since Ye’s Late Registration in 2005. We are talking 900K- Platinum in a week.

Kanye West celebrated his birthday last night and he shut down NYC by bringing everyone out. Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Jermaine Dupri, Diddy, John Legend, Pharell, Rihanna, and a slew of other celebs were spotted at club Louis Vuitton. Kanye doesn’t seem too interested in his fiancee, Rihanna’s rack gets some attention though.

Jay-Z is probably the best MC ever in the game but have to know when to fold ‘em. 40+ year old MC’s coming in and out of “retirement” is not cool. Make sure you go out on top homie.

After months of speculation, Jay-Z has confirmed his return to the mic with an appearance on the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s Fall Music Preview. The album, reportedly titled Kingdom Come, will feature production by Timbaland, Kanye West, Just Blaze, and Dr. Dre, as well as Coldplay’s Chris Martin.The title track from the album is based on a 1996 issue of the Superman comic book, where he comes out of retirement to save the world. Take off the blazer / Loosen up the tie / Step inside the booth / Superman is alive,” Jay raps on the track….
