Ebony has landed Barack Obama’s first print interview as President in a special collectors edition:

He did it! Barack Obama has rightfully earned the historic title of President-elect! Ebony magazine conducted the first interview and photo shoot with Mr. President since his Nov. 4 victory. The exclusive interview is the centerpiece of Ebony magazine’s January 2009 special collector’s edition, which chronicles the rise of Barack Obama to one of the most powerful positions in the world.

“We won because the American people mobilized for change. We had a great campaign, great volunteers, great staff. But it really was people at a grassroots level who carried our campaign financially, who carried it organizationally, and we don’t want that to dissipate,” Obama said during a
Nov. 13 exclusive interview.

The historic issue, which will include never-before-seen pics of Obama, will hit the stands on December 9th. And naturally, ABC news relic Barbara Walters plans to name Barack “The Most Fascinating Person of the Year” on on her Thursday night special.

Looks like talk show dinosaur Barbara Walters will have the pleasure of interviewing the soon to be President and First Lady:

The Barack Obama media tour is making another stop — and at another high-profile place. A week after the president-elect and first lady-elect Michelle Obama spoke to “60 Minutes,” they’re sitting down for an interview with ABC’s Barbara Walters. It will air as a one-hour special Wednesday night on ABC.

The interview will touch on the transition, economy, foreign policy and how the family is dealing with the immense change in their lives, says ABC. Walters will do the interview late in the day in Chicago, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The television network hopes that the Obama interview will be as much of a ratings success as the Obamas’ interview with “60 Minutes” two Sundays ago that gave the newsmagazine its best ratings in years. Parts of the interview will also air on “Good Morning America,” “World News” and “Nightline.”

Yeah, the ratings are guaranteed to be high for this jawn too, but let’s hope the old bag keeps it relevant, which means no more questions about the Obama’s getting a mutha-effin’ dog. A hint of what’s to come is on the flip Continue »

Apparently Sherri Shepherd has been getting on Barbara Walter’s last nerve:

“Barbara has had it with her,” said the source. “Barbara was shocked that Sherri would say she needs to be ’saved’. She’s dumbfounded by the stupid things that keep coming out of Sherri’s mouth…

Barbara has been saying that Sherri’s a “loose cannon,” added the source. “And after hearing what she said to a Christian magazine, word came back from Barbara that she wants to boot her off the show.“Barbara thinks Sherri has become far worse of a problem than Star Jones and Rosie’s O’Donnel when they were on the show – and that’s saying a lot!”

While Barbara is ready to see Sherri move on from “The View,” insiders say it’s unlikely there will be a dramatic firing.“Barbara may first give her a chance to shape up before shipping her out… “And if Barbara does let Sherri go, expect a fun farewell with the whole gang saying only nice things about Sherri in public.”

They need to put up with Sherri’s simple ass a little while longer. Her nutty antics are good for ratings. But on the real, isn’t high time that the old corpse consider hanging it up?
