Last week when we were counting down the list of Hip-Hop relationships we’ve loved over the years, we came up with more than a handful of couples that probably should have never been together.

From drug use to dirty dog ways to just questionable all the way around, check out some of the Hip-Hop couples we have loved laughing and cringing at over the years.

We gotta start calling Fat Joe “Lean Backs” cuz he just went from 350 lbs to 260-something in nine months!

At 6’2 Joe once topped the scales at 423 lbs but on and off dieting over the years had whittled him down a bit, however he’s never been as successful as now.

“I’m addicted to food; I love food,” said Fat Joe, whose real name is Joe Cartagena. “It’s like a crack addict – he hits rock bottom and he says, ‘All right, forget it. I’m not going to get high anymore.’”

The rapper claims his weight loss motivation was as serious as it gets — he wanted to live. After losing seven friends in their 30′s to heart attacks last year, he wasn’t trying to be the next man on the slab.

“What’s the difference between me and them? Health doesn’t discriminate just because I’m famous,” the plus-sized South Bronx native said yesterday.

“I can’t leave my daughter behind,” he said of his five-year-old Azaryah. “I want to be here for her; I don’t want to die on her.”

Joe traded his diet of chicken and pasta for six small meals a day of fruit, veggies, lean meats and whole grains. He also followed an exercise regimen that included 2 hours of cardio and weights with a trainer.

“I was always LL Cool J in a fat guy’s body,” Joe says.

Earlier this week the rapper revealed his new look to fans by releasing a video for his song “Drop A Body.”

“They’re all trying to alter my name, but I can’t see myself as anything else,” he said, referring to friends who started calling him “Skinny Joe” and “Joey Flaco” (Spanish for “thin”). “I think I gotta ask Diddy what my new name is.”

Good job Joey — keep that weight off — we ain’t trying to see you go out like Pun either!

Today 11 years ago today Hip-Hop lost one of its most iconic MCs in Big Pun.

Although the Bronx-bred Boricua’s career was cut short like so many other prolific lyricists, the impact of his music will remain with rap fans forever.

R.I.P. Pun, you will be missed.

Earlier this week, we posted an interview with Big Pun’s estranged wife where she explained her horrible living conditions and less than livable income since the passing of her husband.  A lot of people came for Fat Joe and asked him why he would let this happen.  Well, Fat Joe went on Hot. 97 to set the record straight.

We commend Joe for keeping it real.  He told that b*tch, I’ll help you for now but you need to get your own hustle.  You ain’t gonna disrespect my dude and expect to live off his legacy, game recognize game. So now who’s willing to give this chick a coke and smile so she can take our order and support her fam?

According to Big Pun’s wife, she and her kids are living in a NYC shelter and were abused by Big Pun.

Reminiscing on an old Big Pun line “Ni**as wanted to Fu*k his wife”  we wonder who he was talking about… We wouldn’t fu*k this broad with our eyes closed and a brown paper bag over her head in the dark!
