All’s Well That Ends Well

Posted by Bossip Staff

It was a star studded event for the finale of TRL Live in Times Square, NY. A host of stars popped up to show their support like Diddy, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, 50 Cent, and Teyana Taylor.

Of course your girl, Bey, was in the house and she seemed to have forgotten her mechanical glove at home (don’t all clap at once). We really wish she’d take a cue from TRL and just let that thing go, already.

Danity Kane: The Trio

Posted by Bossip Staff

DK was spotted at Jet over the weekend, and we must say they looked, OK. Diddy probably sent the trio out for photo ops because him and Aubrey the ho were seen in Miami getting it in. SMH

Which One Would You Hit???

Celebs strutted across the “pink carpet” at the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. As you can see, Usher and Terrence Howard teamed up to steal all the attention of the ladies. If you had a chance to roll around on any color carpet with one of these slick cats, we have to know: Which One Would You Hit?

Shifting Stereotypes

Diddy is looking to change the perception of black males:

With the launch of his newest men’s fragrance on the horizon, Sean “Diddy” Combs is utilizing president-elect Barack Obama to promote the scent, in an effort to redefine the perception of African Americans.

The Wall Street Journal reports the rap mogul will appear in a black-and-white ad for the new I am King fragrance. The ad will be featured in magazines and on billboards across the country in December.

Dressed as a black James Bond, Combs wears a white dinner jacket as he is seen on jet skis, in casinos and aboard a yacht on the French Riviera.

Although the ads could come across with being out of touch with the current economy, Combs maintains that the promotion is reflective of what he labeled as an “affordable indulgence.”

“Everything on the market isn’t going to be attached to the bad economy,” he said. With Obama’s historic victory over Republican rival John McCain, Combs believes the time is now for marketers to shift their perception of the urban black male from the stereotypical person with lots of “bling,” to one of successful black men such as himself and Obama.

It makes perfect sense for Diddy to use Obama’s status as opposed to his own. Hell, he has only spent 15 years in the spotlight doing everything possible to perpetuate the same stereotype he is trying to change. SMH

T-Painful was seen sweating up a bucket worth last night at his Myspace Album Release Party at Hiro Ballroom in NY.  You had to put T-Pain in your top 8 friends list and print it out and bring it to the party for free admission.

Guests included Ludacris, Diddy and Busta Rhymes.

We have a picture of “Sean Combs” in his signature buffalo stance when you…

Cassie Is Not In Danity Kane

Posted by Bossip Staff

The reported blog from yesterday was a fake, and Cassie is deading the rumors of her joining the descending group, Danity Kane:

DK?

What’s up everybody??

A friend of mine forwarded me a link toa site with a made up quote about me joining Danity Kane. I want to make it clear to everyone that I am not joining Danity Kane! My second solo album is coming out in the Spring of ’09 and I’m very excited about that. I don’t know where the fake message came from, but I know for a fact that it didn’t come from me. Anyway, I can’t wait to share more details about MY next solo project with you. Thanks guys, talk soon!

Cassie

Well, it wasn’t made up by us, and it was sourced on different sites. Danity Kane has a long way to go before Diddy thinks about adding Cassie to the mix. We like Cassie, but she might as well realize the best career choice for her is getting knocked up by Diddy.

Diddy Acts a D@mn Fool

Diddy threw a colossal sized tantrum on what was supposed to be a special day:

Rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was reportedly left fuming after a young designer failed to decorate New York club Mansion NYC to his specifications for his recent birthday celebrations. The Bad Boy Records boss turned 39 on Tuesday but decided to turn his party into a joint celebration to mark Barack Obama becoming the new U.S. President-elect. But according to the New York Post’s PageSix, he became infuriated with a designer hired to deck out the Chelsea club – and allegedly demanded a refund. A source tells the publication, “He was given a budget of $7,000 and 12 hours to create an all-white decor, including 1,000 white roses, blow-ups (large pictures) of Diddy and Barack Obama, and $2,000 of white fabric. Diddy declared it dreadful and went into a major hissy fit, screaming, ‘Show me the receipts!’ and ‘Get the money back!’ to his assistant. “Then he began ripping the fabric off the walls saying he hated it. He berated the poor young decorator to the point that the guy gave back $2,000 of the money he had spent.”

For being such a jerk, we had to take 6 “cool points” away and address him by his government name. It’s okay for people to throw fits when things don’t turn out the way they like, but we normally refer to that time period as the “Terrible Two’s” and make them take a nap afterwards. Lauren London and Cassie pose for their new Sean Jean ads. Too bad Cassie doesn’t really see that she could have an actual career as a model rather than simply being the jump off.

Diddy and Camel Told to Fall Back by Obama

Posted by Bossip Staff

According to Livesteez, the Obama Camp has asked that the entertainers to stay the hell back right now:

Unfortunately, some of Barack Obama’s biggest backers won’t be in attendance tonight for his historical celebratory meeting. The Obama campaign has reportedly asked some of his famous supporters to stay away from his rally Tuesday night in Chicago’s Grant Park, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Although the campaign is reportedly grateful for the high-profile support, several prominent celebs have reportedly been asked “politely but very firmly” to skip the rally and focus on attending the Obama inauguration in January, should that occur, as reported by MTV.com. An Obama insider reportedly told the newspaper’s Bill Zwecker that Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and Ben Affleck were among those asked to stay away from tonight’s festivities. “There really only needs to be one star in Grant Park, and that’s Barack,” the insider reportedly said. “There will be plenty of time for a new President Obama to be surrounded by famous fans, all hopeful about a new administration.” However, the paper reported that early Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey is confirmed to make an appearance at the rally in Grant Park. It is also expected that Winfrey will be with Obama as well as his family and inner circle throughout the night at their hotel in Chicago.

YES WE CAN!!

Fall back right now fam. A lot of you bandwagon celebrities only stepped up when it looked like Barack was going to win, when it was “safe and cool”. SMH.

The Last Big Push

A few of NY’s finest products, Mary, Diddy, and Jay-Z made an appearance in Philly to support the Promote the Vote rally. Yeah, hangin’ out on South Street can be a lot of fun, but for some reason getting a sticker for voting just seems a lot cooler at the moment. GO VOTE!!!
