Barrack Obama issued a statement regarding these horrific crimes that have happened to the Hudson family:

“Michelle and I were absolutely heartbroken to learn about this unimaginable tragedy and we want Jennifer to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time,” the Illinois senator said. “We also pray for the swift and safe return of her young nephew.”

We all are praying for the return of  little Julian King and our prayers are with Jennifer and her family during this trying time.

At a press conference, Julia Hudson, pictured behind the podium, pleads for the safe return of her son, Julian King, who has been missing since this weekend’s tragic events occurred. Pictured beside Julia is the boy’s biological father, Greg King.

Chicago authorities are intensifying efforts to find the 7-year-old nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson while investigating the shooting deaths of Hudson’s brother and mother. An Amber Alert is still in effect for Julian King, who went missing from his South Side neighborhood home on Friday. That was the same day that the bodies of his grandmother — 57-year-old Darnell Donerson — and 29-year-old uncle Jason Hudson were found in the home they shared. Their deaths have been ruled homicides. Chicago police spokesman Dan O’Brien says the search for King is citywide. But on Sunday residents and officers are focusing their search efforts “in the immediate vicinity” of Hudson’s home. Searchers plan to comb streets on foot and hand out fliers.

A suspect is in custody for the murders of Jennifer’s mother and brother:

Police sources have confirmed that William Balfour, the suspect in the shooting deaths of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother, has been taken into police custody. However, Julian King, Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew who was taken from the murder scene, is still missing. Sources say Balfour has refused to provide information on King’s location. No charges have been filed.

According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, Balfour, 27, is on parole. He spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle.

For the sake of the child, let’s hope the Chicago Police Dept. do their job and get this Balfour character talking. Let us pray the child is somewhere safe and unharmed so the grieving process can begin. SMH

Jennifer Hudson’s mother was shot and killed today. Two bodies were found this afternoon in her Chicago home:

The mother of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson was reportedly found dead in a South Side home. Two adults were found fatally shot at a home at 70th Street and Yale Avenue at 3 p.m. Friday, authorities said. A representative of the family’s church, Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist, confirms that 57-year-old Darnell Hudson was one of the victims. The other victim was a man, the Chicago Fire Department said.  The shooting is believed to be domestic.  The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has been notified of the deaths of two people from a home at the address, but additional information is unavailable.

R.I.P. Our condolences go out to Jhud and her family. It is rumored the other victim was her brother Jason. The police are reportedly looking for her seven year-old nephew pictured below. As more information comes in, we will keep you updated.

When New York heard that Jennifer Hudson and Punk were engaged, she slung some rather less than subvert insults at your girl:

Don’t expect Tiffany “New York” Pollard to be invited to her former fling David Otunga’s wedding to Jennifer Hudson. The New York Goes To Hollywood star says she’s skeptical about the Dreamgirls actress’ engagement to Harvard Law School grad David, who competed for Tiffany’s affections on I Love New York 2 under the name Punk. “He’s really loving being Mr. Jennifer Hudson. I think he’s loving the lavish things she brings to his life, he’s seeing the world due to Jennifer’s success,” Tiffany tells In Touch. “[But] can you love this person if they lose all of this tomorrow? She needs to find out. I just hope people are marrying each other for the right reasons.” New York’s not optimistic about the couple’s future. “It’s a mixed match, it won’t work,” she says. “He’ll be in her shadow like Al Reynolds was to Star Jones, like Stedman Graham is to Oprah.” There’s also a good reason David wasn’t the right match for Tiffany on I Love New York 2. “When we were in Miami together, he didn’t even try anything [on me]!” she says. “Maybe I wasn’t his type, maybe I wasn’t big enough for him.” “His heart is way big,” Tiffany says of David, who proposed to Jennifer after dating less than a year. “Two weeks ago, I ran into [Jennifer and David] and I didn’t say much,” reveals Tiffany. “I said ‘Goodbye, Punk!’ and she looked at me like ‘What!’ I know his name’s David, but I call him Punk.”

It’s incredibly unsettling, but we might have to agree with New York on this one. Punk stays whoring it up for publicity. He’s proven that he’ll do anything to be seen by pushing all up on New York’s greasy basketball tittays. On that note, we hope JHud had his ass tested.

Jennifer Hudson talks more about her engagement and recent film in the upcoming issue of Jet magazine:

The recently engaged 27-year-old shared exclusive details with Jet magazine about how her fiancé, Harvard-educated attorney David Otunga, popped the question and what he asked her mother. He proposed and gave me a ring, said Hudson of the 5-carat Neil Lane platinum ring,

while refuting gossip that her engagement is a publicity stunt. It was very romantic; he’s a very unique, different individual. I am happy. But the good news doesn’t stop there. Armed with a debut CD and a starring role in the soon-to-be released movie, “The Secret Life of Bees,” Hudson

says she’s especially excited about the film’s message. It’s a film about togetherness and sisterhood. At the hardest times, those women came together and showed what we could do if we all just come together.

Well if she’s happy with Señor Suspect, then good for her.

Isn’t this sweet. Jennifer Hudson describes her engagement experience with that suspect Punk fellow:

“It was a big deal… I got a beautiful ring and I got him. I had no clue at all… We went to the beach during the day and he blindfolded me… and he gave me a purple shovel, because purple’s my favorite color… and I had to dig. I ended up digging through all this sand. When I found it, it was like a bunch of beautiful cards… one related to the other, and the last one said, ‘Look around, take the moment in, turn around and I have a gift for you.”

Poor thang. Look at that man wishing someone would come save him from the biggest mistake of his life. Uh uh, pimpin’! You brought this on yourself. Now, let’s see you dig yourself out of this one with a purple shovel.  Congrats to them though…
