Our favorite thicky thickums and her swole beau, Nelly, attended the Yellow Brick Road Not Taken Benefit in NYC. While we have been thoroughly enjoying Ashanti being thicker than a snicker lately, that whole above the knee region is starting to look like she might want to lay off the snickers for a week or two.

According to a Livesteez, Diddy has just acquired the popular ENYCE Clothing Brand:
Word on the street is that Sean “Diddy” Combs has conquered yet another piece of the fashion real estate to add to his ever-growing empire. The music mogul has purchased the popular urban clothing line ENYCE from Liz Claiborne Inc, according to reports. “Enyce is a brand that I have always admired, and they have been a very important player in the young men’s sportswear arena for over a decade. I am really excited to bring it into our portfolio of brands that already includes Sean John and Zac Posen,” Diddy said in a release. “Given our track record of success in marketing products such as Ciroc Vodka, Unforgivable by Sean John, and all of our television titles, I look forward to adding our expertise to an already hot fashion line. Our long-term plan is to grow the Enyce brand through innovative marketing, expansion of the menswear and boy’s lines, and launching into new licensing categories.”
ENYCE has fallen off a bit and if there is anyone who can resurrect this clothing line, it’s Diddy. This is going to be a big project so we sure hope Diddy has Nelly’s number programmed on speed dial.

Here is Nelly performing in Florida last night. We know you broads think he’s fine and all, but his album didn’t move any units:
Nelly capped his long hiatus with a disappointing No. 3 start for Brass Knuckles, his first new album in four years, which moved a relatively meager 84,000. His last albums, 2004′s simultaneously released Sweat and Suit, debuted in the top two spots with a combined 738,000 first-week copies.

Ashanti and Nelly performed on the Jay Leno Show, but it looked more as though Ashanti was using the performance to make a statement. She’s seen her man in all those Sean John ads if you haven’t seen them, and wanted to let all the ladies know that whatever muscles ya’ll thought ya’ll were going to feel, she ain’t having it. Here’s a sneak peek of Ashanti’s interview with Page Six Magazine where she opens up about her career, future wedding plans and her respect for Rihanna:
On finding it hard to watch artists like Fergie and Rihanna fill her void:
“I’d hear a song on the radio and wish mine was next. But I respect a lot of the artists who’ve come along since I was out, especially Rihanna. She’s smart and she’s worked the business instead of having the business work her.”
Back in action now, Ashanti is even more driven, and not just with career. Having two children with her boyfriend and fellow artist Nelly, she says thoughts are turning to marriage.
“I’ve been planning my wedding in my head since I was a little girl, and it just keeps getting more elaborate. I’m a huge fan of the Caribbean, so if I don’t get married in New York, it would have to be on the beach.”
We’re assuming that when Page Six mentions the she and Nelly have two kids together, they’re referring to his son and daughter from a previous relationship But then again, she was unusually chubby at some point a few years back.
