Here are some notes about Bobby Brown’s performance on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage cruise:

The’King’ is ‘dead’

There were plenty of empty seats. Most cruisers seemed to attend out of curiosity, not because they wanted to jam to “My Prerogative.” Bobby had the same three energetic female backups and a young energetic band, all 20-somethings in age. His Sunday night performance was shocking to some, but the Monday night performance was more painful to watch.

Why? Bobby put forth effort, but he just didn’t have anything in the gas tank, so to speak. He couldn’t move and he couldn’t sing. So he played all the live performance tricks: his mike was turned down; he let backups and the band have solos while he went offstage to catch his breath; he prompted the audience to sing along. His set was only 30 minutes long, and people were getting out in a hurry again from the first song. Bobby tried to blame his performance on an undisclosed medical condition, saying, “My doctors said I shouldn’t come, but I didn’t want to disappoint people.” (Too late for that.) Continue »

We have heard worse said about that punk Rush Limbaugh on the evening news:

Wanda Sykes’ jokes at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner have caused quite an upset among political and conservative commentators who feel some of her punchlines went too far. During the daily briefing on Monday, White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs was asked about the specific joke in which Skyes spoke about Rush Limbaugh and his hopes that the Obama administration “fails,” saying that his views are no different from that of Osama Bin Laden and suggested that he may have been a 9/11 terrorist. Naturally, the White House cannot condone such a notion, and expressed disapproval, reports the Associated Press. Continue…

The first dog has been introduced to the First Family. He is half black and white…ironic enough. The dogs name has come under some controversy, the name was supposed to be Charlie, but it seems it has changed to, Bo.

We have an interview with the First Dog . You read that correct:

Reporter: Charlie, cats out of the bag on your big debut, we broke the story first. Your country awaits your first official comments.

Charlie/Bo: You called me Charlie! Someone was calling me Bo earlier. I think I’m in the midst of an identity crisis. New house, new family, new name, neutered…..? Not sure on the last one yet but I will say the new name hurts a bit. I like Charlie.
