In case you’ve been sitting under a rock or something and hadn’t noticed, TBS has a brand new show “For Better or Worse” which airs Friday nights at 10pm EST/PST. Written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry, the show is a spinoff of Perry’s popular “Why Did I Get Married?” movie franchise that focuses on our favorite couple Angela (Tasha Smith) and Marcus (Michael Jai White).

We loved this couple on the big screen so BOSSIP sat down with the actors to learn more about the show. Keep clicking to find out what we discovered.

Pooch or Laz?

Fortunately the press didn’t have to pick last night. Just days before the opening of one of this year’s most anticipated films, JUMPING THE BROOM cast members Laz Alonso, Tasha Smith, Mike Epps and Pooch Hall hosted an intimate press dinner at New York’s PRANNA Restaurant. The talented actors addressed everything from typecasting – (“The characters I play may be strong women, but they aren’t the same,” said Smith) – to the brilliance of director Salim Akil. “In the next five years, Salim will be one of the top directors in Hollywood,” praised Alonso. “Not just a top black director, but one of the best in the business…period!”

If you picked Pooch you’re SOL cuz it turns out he already put a ring on it.

“This is a movie about choices. You choose how your life should go,” said Hall, who revealed that he’s married and had already ‘jumped the broom.’ “It’s a film everyone can relate to.”

Damn, Rebbie Jackson came out last night to support her baby sis at the premiere of Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married Too?” looking like she ain’t a day over 40. It’s amazing how she’s a prime example of how those Jackson genes can turn out sans all the crazy plastic surgery.

Universal changed “Couples Retreat” marketing for the film’s UK release. The company removed the black actors from both the poster’s photo and the list of stars in the type list.

Faizon Love and Tasha Smith were completely taken off the poster and we can’t help but wonder why. We don’t know how important their roles are in the film, but for them to be featured in the initial poster and then be taken off, is a bit suspect.

Universal said it regretted causing any offense, and it has abandoned plans to use the revised poster in other countries. A Universal spokesman said the revised advertisment was aimed ‘to simplify’ the poster to actors who are the most recognizable in international markets. SMH

ET aired the clip for Tyler Perry’s new movie, Why Did I Get Married Too and it looks like it’s going to be a lot better than the first one. This time they’re in paradise and Angela is starting sh*zzz but this time, it’s not with her husband…
