Celebrities face the crunch from the IRS harder than us regular folk a lot of times. They spend money on houses and cars, then suddenly it goes away and Uncle Sam still wants his cut of the pie. When that happens, celebrities’ only choice is to go bankrupt. Which means they’ll still be richer than you, but they need some help. Here’s a list of celebrities that went bankrupt and the year they felt the government’s wrath.

Those of you who said Eddie would rather be with a Tony than Toni might just be right.

Eddie Murphy has denied reports that he is dating “Another Sad Love Song” singer Toni Braxton.

When asked if he had a new paramour, Murphy told “Access Hollywood” in an interview last night, “I don’t even know who the new love is. I know I’m single and I’m just up at the house, playing the guitar and being a single dad.”

When asked specifically about reports that he and Braxton were “getting very serious,” Murphy said the rumors aren’t true.

“Toni and I are just friends,” Murphy claimed. “I went to her show, and we’re friends and she’s a very, very sweet girl, but we’re just friends.”

Murphy also took a moment to give his thoughts on the 84th annual Academy Awards, which he was slated to host until his pal and “Tower Heist” director Brett Ratner pulled out of producing the event after making a homophobic comment during a press conference.

“It’s still something that I would like to do one day, because all the best comics have done it,” said Murphy of the awards show. “It’s one of the few things I haven’t done in my 35 years in this business, so I would like to have that be part of my resume as well … If they ask me again, maybe I’ll do it.”

Well, that rumor didn’t last long. We had a feeling Toni didn’t have a strong enough jaw to keep Eddie interested.

Apparently Eddie Murphy has been getting busy with ladies in his spare time.

For years, Eddie Murphy has been rumored to be with Johnny Gill, but that hasn’t stopped him from chopping down ladies for the last 20 years. Are they cover ups or real love? We’re not sure, but we do know these ladies are incredibly hot. Good job, Eddie!

Eddie loves him a bangin’ bawwwdy so this shouldn’t come as a surprise but for some reason we never figured Toni Braxton as his type, but guess he decided he could take a detour from his usual tall and manly shtick to chop down the singer.

According to US Weekly reports:

The singer, 44, and comic actor, 50, “are seeing each other and very into it,” a source tells Us Weekly, adding that the romance started up four months ago.

The Tower Heist star — who has eight kids from previous relationships — even cheered on the mother of two (who’s been separated from singer Keri Lewis since 2009), backstage at her Feb. 19 L.A. concert.

While Braxton’s rep insists “Toni and Eddie are just friends and have been fans of each other’s work for a long time,” the insider says, “Their kids have met and everything. It’s getting very serious.”

In addition to first wife Nicole Mitchell, Murphy dated former Spice Girl Melanie Brown from 2006 to 2007, and exchanged marital vows with Tracey Edmonds in 2008 in a “symbolic” ceremony that was never made legal. Back in the late 1980s, Murphy was linked to another big-voiced R&B superstar: the late Whitney Houston.

Braxton’s search for love after her split from Lewis was a major plot point in the most recent season of her reality show Braxton Family Values.
