Tyra, who has been looking a bit ‘off’ these days, speaks about being stylish in NYC at an event she hosted this weekend:

“You walk the streets of New York and people see you – you gotta look cute. I try to make sure it’s foolproof. That’s why I decided to host this – because I feel like in New York, you have to be popping. Even a simple black dress, you have to do that here. There’s no excuse to not look right. If you catch me looking busted, I deserve the worst dressed list.”

Perhaps she should take her own advice.

There will be a transgender contestant on the upcoming season of ANTM:

One of the 14 girls who will compete on the new season of America’s Next Top Model – which returns to The CW on September 3 – is transgender. “My cards were dealt differently,” Isis, a 22-year-old former receptionist, tells Us Weekly. Hailing from Prince George’s County, Maryland, Isis identifies herself as “a woman born physically male.” Will she be a role model? “I like to help people, but I’m here to follow my dreams.”

Real talk, she/he looks girlier than the fu*k.

Tyra Banks on Barack Obama:

“When Barack won the nomination, I just started bawling,” confesses Tyra. “I started calling all these people, and everybody was talking to me like I was crazy. They’re like, ‘Well, he hasn’t won yet,’ but I’m like, ‘Yes, he has, because he’s gotten this far.’ I think he gives everybody so much hope. What gives me tears is if Barack Obama wins, kids are going to say a black man can be President too.”

As we reported yesterday, Tyra Banks attempts to portray Michelle Obama in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar. She makes a statement in her interview that pretty much sums up where her head is at these days:

“Barack and Michelle, you might be going to the White House.” She flashes a dazzling, supermodular smile. “But I’m going to White Castle.”
