Venus Williams’ lil tatas were almost put on full blast this weekend:

Venus Williams almost had a Janet Jackson moment during a good-natured exhibition match against Italian tennis player Flavia Pennetta in Milan. The left strap on one of Venus’ self-designed eleVen dresses snapped during the match, almost exposing some extra skin to the assembled crowd.

Like a seasoned fashion veteran, the elder Williams sister managed to cover up the problem and coolly walked off the court to change outfits. When she returned, she brought some popcorn for Pennetta, who had been forced to wait out the literal changeover.

Nice save Venus…but we’re sure one of you pervs would have hoped it popped all the way out.

Serena Williams continues to advance in the U.S. Open. All her besties were in the stands to watch her beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova Thursday including Kim Kardashian, Ciara, La La and sister Venus Williams. We’re surprised Kim isn’t rolling with armed security, considering she’s rocking that ginormous ring on her finger.

It took Serena only two sets to win her quarterfinal match. We’re really rooting for her to get some redemption after all the yang that got talked following her last U.S. Open.

Sorry Tennis fans, looks like you might not be seeing a Venus vs. Serena match any time soon…

Just as her little sis is getting back into the swing of things after months of dealing with health issues, Venus has decided to pull out of the US Open to deal with her own illness.

“I’m really disappointed to have to withdraw from this year’s U.S. Open,” Williams said in a statement from Flushing Meadows, New York. She then revealed the shocking news about her medical illness: “I have recently been diagnosed with Sjorgren’s Syndrome, an autoimmune disease which is an ongoing medical condition that affects my energy level and causes fatigue and join pain.”

The 31-year-old is a seven-time Grand Slam champion, but she has struggled with health problems this year. She has only played four tournaments so far and a viral illness and abdominal injury kept her sidelined most of the year.

Sjorgen’s is a disease that attacks the body’s moisture glands with white blood cells and causes various symptoms ranging from dry mouth to debilitating fatigue, according to the Sjorgen’s Syndrome Foundation website

Venus did not say when she would return to tennis.

We hope focusing on her well being and nothing else will get Venus back on the healthy side of things quickly.

After Serena’s emotional return to tennis last week, we were definitely rooting for the sisters to make some noise at Wimbledon. But it wasn’t meant to be.

Serena lost on the main court to France’s Marion Bartoli in straight sets, marking the earliest she’s been knocked out of Wimbledon in six years. Meanwhile, Venus got handled by Bulgaria’s Tsvetana Pironkova for the second year in a row.

Even though Serena lost, she still sees the weekend as a victory since it was her first major in more than a year.

“Even though today I lost, I was able to kind of hang in there and play tough. I can only get better. That can potentially be really scary, because I can only go up from here and I can just do so much more.”

You heard the woman. Watch out, competition. Those cakes are coming for you.

People don’t know just how serious Serena’s health issues were. But she damn near died!

After that close call, Serena headed back to the court for Wimbledon, which she’s won four times already. Her return was definitely triumphant as she stomped her first-round opponent Aravane Rezai.

But the news came after the match. Serena, who’s mostly reserved in her post-match interviews, was very emotional. The sobbing Williams managed to say: “I usually don’t cry … but it’s just been so hard…I never dreamt I would be here right now. And then to win. I just wanted to win at least one match here.”

If she goes on to win the tournament, this’ll be an inspirational story for the ages.

Evelyn Lozada is back home in NYC this week and the paps caught her looking a little less glam than usual. We were kind of concerned until we saw how the Williams sisters like to travel. It’s not easy looking cute while traveling but… C’MON SON!

On a positive note, Serena and Venus were flying into DC to host a tennis clinic for children and attend the ’10th anniversary of the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center’ gala this weekend. Nice!
