Wyclef’s Miami crib is being foreclosed:
Proving that foreclosures spare no one, a Miami Beach property owned by hip-hopper Wyclef Jean is about to be auctioned on the proverbial courthouse steps, according to court records.
Through a corporation he owns with friends, the former guitarist of The Fugees borrowed $2 million from Home Equity Mortgage Corp. in 2004. He wanted to rebuild a canal-front home next door to Kennedy clan stalwart Anthony Shriver, Maria’s little brother.
But a series of construction liens filed since then shows the Pine Tree Drive project was burdened by a heap of financial trouble.
With the music industry revenues declining and the spiraling economy, this bling sh*t and “making it rain” stacks in the club is about to get real old, real quick. Poor thang.

Wyclef recently went to Haiti to help out a little…
Jean gave out bags of rice and beans and cans of cooking oil to hundreds of Haitians near the town of Cabaret on Saturday. At one point, the truck they were in got stuck in a ditch, so they handed out the food on the roadside. The Haitian-born Jean, who founded his own Yele Haiti charity, was the star of the day – hardly anybody in the crowd recognized Matt Damon who went along with Jean.Later, at a church where 600 people who were left homeless by Hurricane Ike were sheltered, Jean ladled out rice with vegetable sauce. Jean said he hoped more people will donate to United Nations relief efforts to help the impoverished nation recover from four devastating storms in the past month.
Always good to see a scando bumbaaclot pay dues…we wonder if he can help out his girl Lauryn since he seems to be remembering his past and giving back. He needs to give the same compassion to the Queen he damaged and made his riches possible.

According to that crooked ass “Jacob the Jeweler”, Wyclef owes him a small fortune:
Last month jeweler Jacob Arabov began federal prison sentence after being convicted of laundering millions of dollars for the Black Mafia Family. Now Arabov, known for providing bling to numerous Hip-Hop stars, has filed a lawsuit against rapper Wyclef Jean. The man and his company Jacob & Co. claim that the artist owes over $300,000 in oustanding bills.
The New York Daily News reports that a lawsuit was filed yesterday and Jacob & Co. accused Wyclef of purchasing $765,000 worth of watches and jewels between March of 2002 and January 2006, but still has a balance of $319,680.
The 43-year-old jeweler pled guilty to falsifying records and giving false statements in a federal case. He was sentences to 30 months behind bars.
It’s hard to believe anyone can spend over $700 gees on some freakin’ watches. But then again, we wouldn’t put anything past this corrupt jeweler and his shady record keeping.
