NYC Tattoo Artist Crushed To Death Between Elevators

We’re sad to report that a young man has been tragically killed early Monday after being crushed by an elevator.

According to NY Post reports:

An aspiring tattoo artist was crushed to death by an elevator in the Bronx on Monday morning, witnesses said.

Tito “Beboo” Morales, 20, was on his way to pick up a pack of cigarettes when he became wedged between the elevator and the shaft wall around 4 a.m. on the 19th Floor in the Adams Houses on Tinton Avenue.

Residents said he had been elevator surfing, but that could not immediately be confirmed.

Morales was pronounced dead at the scene. No criminality is suspected.

A representative for New York City Housing Authority referred all inquires to the NYPD.

The last time an elevator inspection was conducted at the building was in January 2013, according to the Buildings Department website.

SMH. We hope he wasn’t elevator surfing, but it’s hard to understand how else he ended up between the elevator and shaft wall.

R.I.P. to Beboo. Prayers go out to his loved ones.
