Lil Mo’s Boyfriend Karl Dargan Says He Wants To Marry Her

Karl Dargan said he never really thought about marriage until he met the current woman in his life: Lil Mo.

Via S2S Magazine reports:

Though the two have only been dating for the better part of a year, they first met in 2003 at a concert in Philly. At the time, Lil Mo was still married. However, her and Karl’s paths continued to cross throughout the years. After another chance encounter, they began dating and became “official” in 2013 and that’s long enough for the two to be discussing marriage.

“When the time comes, it’ll happen,” Karl told Sister 2 Sister. According to the boxer, Mo, who has been married twice before, has already pointed out the type of ring she wants.

Unlike the men in her past, Karl, 29, said he’s getting to know the real person behind the celebrity. “I wasn’t trying to get to know Lil Mo,” he said. “I was trying to get to know Cynthia [Loving]. Lil Mo is the entertainer.”
While some fans may have been hoping to get a glimpse of Mo with her new beau on season 2 of “R&B Divas: LA,” he said he won’t be popping up in many scenes.

“I’m not a diva. That’s her line of work. She do her thing. If she wants me there, she needs me there, then of course,” he said. “She stay in her lane with her work. I stay in my lane with my work. I support her. She supports me.”

While some celebrities, such as Kandi Burruss and Mimi Faust, have dealt with gossip that their men are with them for ulterior motives, Karl said he hasn’t had to combat those rumors, and he makes his own money.

“People have said stuff like that, but a lot of people don’t know,” said the boxer who clarified that his earning potential is nothing to laugh at. “The same amount of money she’s capable of making. I’m capable of making… A lot of people in the rap industry, they probably make 2 million a year, 3 million a year? I’m liable to make that in one minute with one punch.”

Jumping in the ring to either pummel or be pummeled, Karl knows a thing or two about risk, but when it comes to Lil Mo, he said he trusts what he feels.

“In life you gotta take gambles,” he said about their relationship. “Some feelings you felt that you haven’t felt before. It seems right. Right now, everything seems a-okay.”
