Woman Wants $1,000 For Bad Haircut
A grandmother in Florida is demanding money for “pain and suffering” after a local Great Clips gave her a messy mangled ‘do. Ms. Vyunda Bradshaw’s hair is so messed up in fact, that she wants a whopping $1,000 in damages.
A Central Florida grandmother said a bad haircut is ruining her life, and now she’s demanding money from the salon for her “pain and suffering.”
Vyunda Bradshaw said she wants $1,000 after the stylist at Great Clips gave her a bad cut.
“I attend church regularly, I have a social life, I can’t go anywhere with my hair looking like this,” she said.
Strips of her hair are gone, she has a bald spot and there’s uneven shaping all around after she said the stylist used clippers.
“I said, ‘You can’t use the clippers, you need to use the scissors,’ she said, ‘I’m blending.’ She stepped this way and that’s when she took my hair off,” Bradshaw said.
Michelle Bates, the general manager at the Great Clips, told Local 6 off-camera that the haircut is unacceptable; that’s why she offered Bradshaw free hair products, fired the stylist who did the damage and gave Bradshaw $60 to buy a wig.
“I told her I don’t wear wigs, it’s 97-degree weather,” Bradshaw said. “With the wig it’s going to be 125 degrees and I’m going to pass the heck out.”
The salon told Local 6 they cannot give Bradshaw the money she is demanding.
Bradshaw said she will not be going back, and she hopes her hair will be back to normal in about three months.
“I take pride in my hair. My appearance means a lot to me, but now somebody looks at me they might think I’m a man with my hair all cut off like that,” she said.
The salon also offered Bradshaw free weekly visits but she declined.
We understand her pain but $1,000 is a little excessive. Better rock a half wig Ms. Bradshaw…
