Teacher Shows Up Drunk At School And Keeps Drinking

An Arizona teacher who was so intoxicated that she took a taxi to school and was cited for being drunk and disorderly after police reported that she drank vodka with a mixer and wine while her kids were in the cafeteria.

A high school teacher who allegedly told a school resource deputy she took a taxi to work because she thought she was too drunk to drive was cited Wednesday for being drunk and disorderly in her classroom at Poston Butte High School in San Tan Valley.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said Kathleen Jardine, 57, of Chandler was cited for one count of consumption of alcohol in public and released to her daughter.

According to a PCSO news release, Jardine was tested for breath alcohol concentration and registered a .205.

The release said student witnesses told the school resource deputy that Jardine was intoxicated and was yelling and cursing at students.

Jardine allegedly admitted to drinking Tuesday night, Wednesday morning before school and during lunch in her classroom, the PCSO release said.

A school security officer found a half full bottle of vodka, an empty single-serving bottle of wine and a half full bottle of Sunny D in her classroom.

Jardine allegedly confirmed the alcohol was hers, the release said.

According to Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, Jardine was fired from a New Mexico school after a similar incident.

“During September of 2011 she was a math teacher at Belen High School in New Mexico,” Babeu said in the PCSO release.

“Students reported to their administration she was ‘acting strange and slurring her words.’ It was determined she was intoxicated and she was later fired from the school.”

SMH…this is the second time she’s done this at a school??? She might need some seriously help, for real!
