These days, it’s hard to find appropriate lyrics for mini-rap fans to listen to. Even if the songs are edited, rarely are the youngest hip hop heads hearing much to uplift or inspire them.

In steps The Cherry Party, a newly formed record label in joint venture with Sony Music. Their debut project, “Full Court Press, Vol 1,” is a compilation album teaming up recording artists with athletes to promote clean, positive and influential music for young people. Slated for a fall release, the album features appearances from Future, Rick Ross, The Game, Ma$e and Twista, to name a few. Some of the basketball players featured on the album include Lamar Odom, Carlos Boozer, Iman Shumpert, Glenn “Big Baby” Davis and more.

The first single is called,”I’m a Champion” and features Shawn Marion, T-Pain, Dorrough & Young Cash. Take a listen:

A portion of the proceeds from the album will go to the ‘NPlay Foundation, a charity that aims to end childhood obesity and has started implementing physical education programs in schools across the nation.
