Couple Forces Woman To Become Sex Slave And Live In Cage

An aint-isht Indiana couple will rightfully face charges after they abducted a woman and forced her to become their sex slave and maid all while locked away in a cage.

An Indiana couple were due in court Monday to face charges that they abducted a woman, held her captive in a small cage inside their trailer, forced her to cook and clean and sexually assaulted her. The couple, Ricky Roy House Jr., 37, and Kendra Tooley, 44, were accused by police of criminal confinement and rape, Posey County prosecutor Travis Clowers told NBC News.

The woman had been missing since early July. Tooley’s ex-husband, Ron Higgs, said he went to the trailer last week to stay a couple of nights and was shown the cage. Higgs told NBC affiliate WFIE in Evansville that the woman later told him that she wasn’t a guest, and begged him to get her out. He said he first offered to buy her from the couple, then concocted a story to help her leave. He said he got her out on Saturday and took her to his own home.

“She had a T-shirt on, and that’s all,” Higgs told WFIE. “She had like a leather belt, like a dog collar on. Every night, they locked her in there. No food, no water.”

WFIE aired video of authorities removing a wooden cage, apparently small enough that an adult could not stand in it, from the home. Tom Latham, the Posey County deputy sheriff, described it to The Associated Press as “pretty much modernized slavery in my eyes.”
