Missouri Man Hides Meth Pipe In Fat
An Ozark, Missouri man is in police custody after authorities say he attempted to smuggle a meth pipe in a roll of his fat.
An Ozark man is accused of smuggling drugs into the Christian County jail after staffers say they found drugs and paraphernalia in some unusual places.
According to a probable cause statement, when Richard Evans Fotopulos was being booked into the jail, a deputy found two plastic bags of methamphetamine and one of marijuana in his socks, and a glass methamphetamine pipe “under (his) stomach skin fold,” while conducting a pre-intake strip search in the shower.
Fotopulos, 45, was arrested in May after officers say they found marijuana and methamphetamine in his car.
The statement says an officer stopped Fotopulos for a broken headlight, and when the officer spoke to Fotopulos, he appeared nervous. Fotopulos allegedly said his hand was shaking because he had hurt his finger earlier in the day, and that his face wasn’t sweaty, but that he had just gotten out of the shower before getting in his car.
“When Fotopulos told me this, I noticed the top of his head was dry, which was inconsistent with just showering,” the statement says.
The statement says Fotopulos agreed to let the officer search his car, at which point the officer found a “hand-rolled marijuana joint” and a small, plastic bag containing what appeared to be crystal meth.
During the subsequent jail booking, deputies say they found the other items on Fotopulos’s person.
He was charged Monday with two felonies — possession of a controlled substance and attempting to bring a controlled substance into the jail. Both are felonies that carry maximum penalties of seven years in prison.
A criminal summons for Fotopulos to appear in court was issued Monday, according to online jail records.
This isn’t all that surprising, remember that 450-pound man who did the same thing with weed????
