We agree it was beyond time Secret Service Director Julia Pierson take her “Ho Sit Down”

Congressman Hakim Jeffries Calls Out Secret Service Failures Saying Jay Z Has Better Security Than Pres. Obama

Via NY Daily News reports:

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, a Brooklyn Democrat, managed to give a shout-out to a borough icon as he commented Tuesday on the resignation of Secret Service Director Julia Pierson.

He said Pierson’s exit must be followed by reforms at the protective agency because “we cannot have a situation where Jay-Z appears to have a more competent security apparatus than the President of the United States.”

It’s worth noting that Pierson’s resignation, which followed a series of embarrassing lapses by the agency, was hastened by her failure to inform lawmakers of a Sep. 16 incident in which an armed security contractor with a criminal history boarded an elevator with President Obama at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.

Jay-Z’s security may be good, but it also broke down in an elevator when he was attacked by his sister-in-law Solange Knowles in a Manhattan hotel on May 5. Unlike that incident, no video has emerged of Obama’s elevator problem.

In his statement, Jeffries called for better Secret Service leadership, “significant retraining, a firm disciplinary code, technology enhancements and a greater budget allocation.”

We totally agree. The Secret Service of the Obama administration has been more known for hiring hookers and popping mollies than protecting him.

Here’s Jeffries full statement, via Facebook:

“The resignation of Director Pierson is a welcome development, but it is not sufficient. We cannot have a situation where Jay-Z appears to have a more competent security apparatus than the President of the United States.

The Secret Service needs strong leadership from top to bottom, significant retraining, a firm disciplinary code, technology enhancements and a greater budget allocation. Only then, will the President and the American people get the agency we deserve.”

Do you think Jeffries should have left Jay Z out of the issue or is it a good example?
