Tiger Bites Off Construction Worker’s Finger At Private Sanctuary

According to NY Daily News reports:

A 300-pound tiger at a private Florida wildlife sanctuary bit the thumb off a construction worker who stuck his hand in the cage.

“It’s nature. There are signs on the cage that say ‘Do not approach the cage,'” property manager Jason Frein told CBS 12 News.

Frein was with the unidentified man when the incident happened Monday at the private sanctuary at Ranch Colony in west Jupiter, Fla

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the scene after the call came in at 1:46 p.m. and the worker was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

“I was with him the whole entire time,” Fein said. “He just happened to put his finger in the wrong place.”

Florida Fish and Wildlife said the zoo’s owner, Mario Tabraue, has a permit for the tiger.

Tabraue operates the Miami-based, for-profit Zoological Wildlife Foundation.

Tabraue, a former cocaine kingpin who served 12 years of a 100-year sentence, was once accused of storing 10,000 pounds of marijuana at tourist park Parrot Jungle, then owned by a friend.

He founded Zoological Wildlife Foundation in 2000. There are no charges pending in the latest incident.

How Sway? Seriously, how do you not pay attention to wear you put YOURSELF when you are within reach of a freakin’ tiger? We cram to understand every time. It’s not a kitten, it’s not a dog, it’s a cotdamn TIGER!
