Stacey Dash Dismisses White Privilege
Stacey Dash recently chatted with Bill O’Reilly about black privilege and dismissed claims that whites have an advantage over minorities due to the color of their skni. The “Clueless” star/Fox News correspondent recalled her own life growing up as a biracial american to two drug addicted parents but dismissed the idea that white privilege exists and instead labeled it “propaganda.”
On “The O’Reilly Factor” tonight, Bill was joined by Fox News contributor Stacey Dash, who discussed her tough upbringing and how she overcame many challenges to be a happy, successful, empowered person.
Growing up, both of Dash’s parents were drug addicts, and she experienced very little stability throughout her childhood, often bouncing from house to house, school to school.
“I couldn’t understand why they weren’t around, why fights were happening,” Dash said, adding that she often dealt with difficult situations herself by fighting.
“I’d rather be mad than sad. When you have so much sadness, it’s excruciating. I found that if I was angry, it motivated me more.”
She also added about white privilege directly; ”
“That’s the propaganda that’s false, that’s when it makes it someone else’s fault. Your life, your destiny, anything you want is dependent on somebody else. That’s not true.”
Poor Stacey, just can’t see that despite the fact that her life turned out just fine and dandy, white privilege does indeed exist.
To turn a blind eye to something that is so obvious in our society is so ignorant.
