How tough can it be to be white?

MTV Casts Show About White People Struggling In America

Via News Kron 4 reports:

MTV apparently wants to know. The cable television channel has hired a documentary film company to get stories from Caucasian young people who claim they’ve deen discriminated against because of their ethnicity.

In a posting on Craigslist, the company asks,

*Is something happening in your life that’s making you think a lot about race?

*Are you one of a few white people at your school, your job or in your community?

*Have you faced discrimination? Or, have you tried to do something to stop other people from being mistreated? Are you a person trying to do something about bigotry?

*Do people fail to get your jokes or accuse you of being racist? Has pressure to be politically correct made you share your thoughts anonymously online?

*Are you questioning any possible advantages you may have had as a white person? Has something in your life has made you resent what other groups seem to get?

The company, called “Punched in the Head Productions” says on its web site that “we specialize in eye-opening, perspective-changing stories about real people, the kind that make you feel like you’ve been ‘punched in the head.’”

MTV says the stories will be included in a program produced by Jose Antonio Vargas, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who made news when he announced that he’s an undocumented immigrant.

What do you think of the documentary??
