Dead Ohio Woman’s Will Asks For Dog To Be Buried With Her

A woman wanted to be buried with her dog. It is in her will. Now that she has passed away, the details of her will are trying to be carried out – including her wish to rest for eternity next to her canine friend.

One problem: the dog isn’t dead…yet. So, what’s to become of her German Shepherd Bella?

Does Bella have to be put down? The lawyer for the late woman says the only feasible option is to euthanize Bella and place her ashes with her owner’s. People caring for Bella say she is a sweet dog who deserves a new home, not death.

Volunteers say several people have even offered to adopt the dog, but the lawyer for the deceased owner says he has to follow with what the will states.

Bella is being boarded at Paws Center near Cincinnati.

UPDATE: Bella was scheduled to be put down Tuesday morning, but that has since been delayed. A lawyer revealed later in the afternoon that the dog could be sent to a shelter in Utah, if enough money is raised.
