Three children were trapped in a car for seven hours as their mother and her boyfriend allegedly stole auto parts at a Florida Walmart.
The jailed parents failed to mention to Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies that their kids — ages 2, 5 and 7 — were waiting for them at the Lauderdale Lakes superstore Monday night, according to WTVJ-TV.
Walmart staff discovered the unharmed siblings about 2 a.m. Tuesday and called 911.
“They looked a little dehydrated,” witness Jean Pierre told WTVJ-TV. “They were upset, they were worried, they were scared.”
Surveillance footage shows the mother, Tosheba Hope, 30, walking paces behind her boyfriend, Gerald Moultrie, 24, at the store’s entrance 7 p.m. Monday before they tried to walk off with $660.20 worth of parts and tools.
