Formerly Bullied NFL Player Jonathan Martin Stops Robbery At Versace Store
Boosters get beat downs.
Don’t tell this robber that Jonathan Martin was once bullied.
The 49ers lineman, who was in the middle of the Dolphins’ bullying scandal, broke up a robbery at a Versace store in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon.
“I didn’t even think,” Martin told Yahoo. “I just reacted. It wasn’t till later when [my friend] said, ‘He could have had a gun.’ I didn’t even think about it. I just wanted to help.”
Martin told the website he saw the thief taking off with three pocketbooks, helped a security guard corral him and punched him “five to eight times.”
“It took maybe 30 seconds,” said Martin, who was traded to the 49ers after leaving the Dolphins following his accusations of abuse.
“It all happened so fast you don’t really think about it. You just sort of react.”
That’s one helluva reaction, sir.
