Rashida Jones Claims She’s Ethnic, Not African-American During Red Carpet Moment
Oh Rashida... Quincy Jones’ swirly offspring still managed to shy away from owning her blackness during an awkward red carpet interview with TNT’s Danielle Demski at Sunday night’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards.
Demski told the 38-year-old actress,”You look like you’ve just come off an island or something, you’re very tan, very tropical.”
Jones’ response? With a smile she said, “I mean, you know, I’m ethnic.”
Just ethnic? How about African-American? Or African-American and Jewish if she doesn’t want mom Peggy Lipton to feel left out.
We just can’t help but think she’s wack for not being more proud to be black. Especially considering her rich black Daddy got so much of his wealth from working with other black people and selling his music to even more black people!
