Beck Responds To Kanye West’s Grammy Rant
Word got back to Beck about Kanye’s post-Grammy comments about him. He ain’t worried ’bout nothin’.
The feeling may not be mutual, but Beck has nothing but love for Kanye West.
The 44-year-old “Turn Away” singer, who took home the award for Album of the Year for “Morning Phase” at Sunday’s Grammys, handled the 37-year-old rapper’s near interruption of his acceptance speech with stride.
“I was just so excited he was coming up. He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody,” Beck told Us Weekly at a party after the show.
“How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?”
West made his way to the stage while Beck was accepting his award much like he did at the 2009 MTV Music Awards to Taylor Swift but this time around, he let him finish leaving viewers to think he was only joking.
While Kim Kardashian’s husband may not have caused a scene, he definitely wasn’t playing around.
Nah, Ye might have garnered a hearty laugh from the audience, as J. Cole says “all good jokes contain true s***.”
Beck went on to say:
“I thought she was going to win. Come on she’s Beyonce,” he added to Us.
“You can’t please everybody, man,” he continued when pressed more on if he was angered by West’s diss.
“I still love him and think he’s genius. I aspire to do what he does.”
Apparently, Kimmy Cakes and co. were a lil’ nervous about how Kanye might react to Becks’s win too.
