Guess Why The Crisis Manager Who Inspired “Scandal” May Soon Be Sitting Courtside?
The “fixer” is in! Rumor has it that “Scandal” co-excecutive producer and crisis manager Judy Smith (famous for her work with Monica Lewinsky, Ben Roethlisberger and Michael Vick, among others) is stepping in to mend fences between NBA referees and point guard Chris Paul. You may recall Paul created a firestorm last week with his comments that female ref Lauren Holtkamp might not be well-suited for the job.
Smith will be working with Paul, who is also President of the National Basketball Player’s Association. We’re not sure who brought Smith on, Paul himself, the NBA or the NBPA but we hear Smith is working on a $15K retainer.
