Beyoncé Performs Duet With Ed Sheeran For Stevie Wonder Tribute Before Hanging Out Later
Looks like the Grammy’s served as Beyoncé’s warmup to her Stevie Wonder tribute Tuesday night in Los Angeles. The singer showed off her thickum thighs in a sparkly black and gold mini during an energetic duet medley with Ed Sheeran as part of an all-star lineup for Stevie Wonder: Songs In the Key of Life — An All-Star Grammy Salute at the Nokia Theatre.
According to US Weekly reports:
The duo belted out classics such as “Master Blaster (Jammin’),” “Fingertips Pt.2,” and “Higher Ground.” Queen Bey whipped the crowd into a frenzy as she walked among the audience and got everyone on their feet.
“If you love Stevie Wonder like I love Stevie Wonder, I want you to stand up on your feet,” the “XO” singer yelled, before taking a walk into the crowd and shaking hands with the musical icon himself.
Sheeran and Beyonce were then joined on stage by Gary Clark Jr. who performed an awesome guitar solo. “We love you Stevie,” Beyonce gushed at the end of their set, as she pulled Sheeran and Clark into a tight hug.
After Beyonce’s high octane opener, a string of the biggest names in music took to the stage to pay tribute to Wonder, including Tony Bennett, Tyler Perry, John Legend, Annie Lennox, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Babyface, Pharrell and Jennifer Hudson.
“I cannot leave this stage, this building, this planet without letting you all know that I love you,” a grateful Wonder said, addressing the crowd, before being joined on stage by all his famous fans for a finale performance of “Happy Birthday.”
The full show, complete with a performance from Stevie Wonder himself (and some pretty cool air-piano from Pharrell!) will air on Monday, Feb. 16 on CBS.
Here’s another shot from the show:
But it seems that the onstage duet was just the beginning. Sheeran joined Bey and hubby Hov after the event for a late night bite.
