Florida Man Buries Himself In Snowbank To Escape Police

A Florida man with outstanding warrants who was armed with a knife hid from officers Saturday night by burying himself in a snowbank, police said.

Via News Times reports:

The man was eventually tracked down and dug out by Ridgefield Police Department’s K-9, Loki.

Anthony Vincent, 28, of Miami, was found with 3.5 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of marijuana and a switchblade knife, police said.

Westchester County Police initially pursued Vincent from New York into Connecticut where Ridgefield police joined the chase.

Vincent ditched his car in the driveway of a Mead Ridge Road home and took off on foot, police said.

With the help of Loki, police tracked down Vincent buried in a pile of snow about a quarter of a mile from where he left his car, police said.

Vincent had an outstanding warrant after he didn’t appear in court for a 2006 criminal mischief charge out of Ridgefield.

Vincent was charged with interfering with the duties of a police officer, failure to appear, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to sell.

Vincent posted $7,500 bond and was released to the custody of the Connecticut State Police, who also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

He will be arraigned on Feb. 20 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

If the police didn’t get him then the hypothermia would have ended him ASAP!
