Kendrick Lamar Releases Album Title And Artwork

Hip-hop lunch table internet has been salivating, speculating, and soiling themselves since Kendrick Lamar announced the release of his new album on March 23.

Much of Kendrick’s fans’ anxiety surrounded the fact that although we now had an official date, we had no idea what the album would be titled, what the artwork would look like, nor the faintest wiff of a track list.

Last night, most of the ambiguity came to a halt as Compton’s son took to Instagram to shed some light on on the subject.

“Don’t all dogs go to heaven? Don’t Gangsta’s boogie? Do owl s**t stank? Lions, Tigers & Bears. But TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. Its the American dream ni**a….” – lil Homie.

It’s hard not to crack an ear-to-ear grin as you behold the White House lawn being overrun by a mob of shirtless black men flagrantly flashing middle fingers and holding bottles of champagne while a white judge lay incapacitated.

We’re not sure what the meaning behind “To Pimp A Butterfly” is, so we’ll reserve judgement until we hear the music.

Do the album cover and the title make you more or less excited for Mr. Lamar’s latest musical offering?
